Yikes at some of these responses. OP, you have an appointment with the dealer, just bring it by then. They may be short on techs and already have cars being worked on. Asking the dealer to jump your car to the front, bypassing existing cars doesn't sit right with me. Plus you have a car you can...
Water is the answer. Meth does have some cooling benefits (similar to ethanol), but it's mostly used as additional fuel. Atomized water will cool down IATs more if you're not needing any additional fueling.
Maybe with an o2 spacer, but they're very hit and miss and mostly miss on modern cars. EPA is strict AF. Look at VW and diesel-gate. Countries take vehicle emissiosn very seriously for the most part.
Some people don't understand, just because a car has a manual, doesn't make it the better transmission for the car. 6-speed Caymans have long had too long of gears. What's the point in the manual if you're not actually.. manualling lol. The lack of rowing of gears defeats the whole purpose. Also...
Most catted DPs for any platform will still set a CEL unless they use expensive EPA/GESI cats with a higher cell count, which costs $$$. Not all catted DPs are created equally.
port injection* and it's not thinking outside the box, it's relatively common across many platforms. PI comes with its own set of pros and cons. You have to worry about additional fuel lines, additional injectors, wiring in the PI controller, getting it tuned, and it's another point of failure...
*Has $100k super sedan*
*Doesn't want to change the oil after 1 year and 2,800 miles*
*Willing to risk the warranty cuz feels bad throwing out "good" oil*
Thanks for the laugh today. :D
Their sound clip sounds good. My issue is that I plan to run catless DP's in the future and tune. The car sounds really good with just downpipes. I don't wanna go too raspy or trumpety (as a lot of opened up V6's do) if I pair their catback + DP's.
There is no new issue. This has been going on for the past 15-20 years ever since GM introduced AFM/DoD. Whether the car has the mode or not, all the crap lifters, etc are still inside the engine.
Thanks for the feedback. This is exactly what I was looking for in my 4BW as well: more initial bite. Looks like I'll be choosing these over the Carbotech 1521's. Was looking at the AX6's but didn't want an autox pad.
My BMW F30 and E90 used to do this. For the F30, it was the windshield screen I put up in the summer (gets hot AF). It was interfering with the security for some reason. On the E90, the hood latch sensor was broken, so it thought the hood was being opened while locked and would set off the...
You're not crazy. My '23 Audi A4 has some incredible initial bite. It's actually too much lol. But it makes my 4BW's initial bite feel like a teething newborn puppy lol. I want something in between. Looking at Carbotech 1521's. At the very least I'll get less dust. I may look into the Ferodo...
You can see the 2 knobs for the volume and tuning. 2025 CT4's are confirmed to not get the updated 33" screen. Really my only complaint is the outdated infotainment tech. It works well, but 8" screen is too small for a 2020+ luxury car, especially these at $60-$90k.
I yanked with pliers. The plastic tabs are glued so it requires a lot of force. You won't break anything as long as you have the 2 screws out after you popped off each side triangle piece.
Do you have CF2 with the carbon fiber side splitters? There's a big thread about jacking these cars up, and the ZL1 style fit the CT5 but not the CT4's with the CF splitters.
1. Yes, unleaded race gas is not an issue.
2. Depends. If you were pulling timing on 93 AKI (not all 93 is created equal). AKI = (R + M) / 2. Ron and Mon octane ratings are different and AKI is just the average. Mon is the more important octane rating but gas never discloses what each one tested...
