Does A Radar Detector Help Anymore?

Most VA State Troopers are pretty cool....or at least when I lived there they were. If you were respectful they normally let you go....except one certain OLD trooper whose probably retired by now out around Front Royal. He'd write you for anything. AZ is another story. Seems here, the DPS...

Order bank open date 2025 CT5V BW?

The more things change, the more they stay the same............this is why it's been called the goat rodeo.

Is this a decent price for this car?

Not for nothing, but Auto Check isn't that great. Spend a few bucks and get a Carfax. I've also used "BadVin". They usually have some additional details. At this price point, and for this type of car, it's worth the homework. Sounds more like a pass to me. Always makes me wonder when someone...

PHX is really nice this time of year

    Oil change 5BW

THIS^^^....exactly! I argued with my dealer too. Actually, it was a new service advisor (there's always new service advisors). He later apologized and said I was right. Check the part numbers before you leave, just be aware that part numbers do change.

    Media dumps

Not to add fuel to the fire, but when 25% tariffs were floated, they were talking about $5000 added to the cost of a car. That was postponed, and now it's on the steel. Best guesses now is about $1000 addition cost for you. Only time will tell.

    Media dumps

For how much I love mine, I agree. I see MSRP's of $130+ and I just say no. That's why I wanted to get mine in 2022. The way the prices have gone up, to me, it's a tough sell at ~$140K+

Did you do or are doing V academy

@coffee_time ....maybe it's called "taking the high road". Either way....good for you

Did you do or are doing V academy

Good for you brother. I was a little surprised they said no. When I bought my 4BW, I had scheduled to go, and about a week or so before, I pulled my back. I called and explained and they understood. I got an extension. SM are really good people to work with.

Long term reliability of the 5BW LT4 unmodified

I think the bigger issue with (almost) any vehicle today isn't the engine or tranny long term, it's all the electronics and computers crapping out. If you're talking 400K miles, how many years is that? 10? 15? 20? I think you'll still be able to get parts and pieces, but a new electronic dash? A...

    CT4-V New windshield, new rattle

@Blackwing16 .....I just checked mine. The original OEM windshield it came with. Lower passenger side, it DOES say HUD. Sorry, not a great photo. Think you dealer is, um, confused.

    For Sale 2022 CT5-V Blackwing number 49, 6spd, CF 1 & 2; 7800 miles, So Cal, $105k MSRP;

Very similar to mine though I don't have CF1 or CF2. Maybe a little high, but prices are all over. Anyway...beautiful car, great spec.....GLWS

Does anyone have pics of a 4BW with the 1 piece front splitter without the dive planes/canards?

I love this look! I think it looks better than the factory. Gives it a bit of a 5BW look.

    In a dilemma… Help.

@Savethemanuals ........hey, you stole my car! Ok, maybe not. Awesome! Of course I'm biased. Best of luck! Congrats!

About to Order, Engine Failure Questions

I'm not worried about my engine going. It goes, it goes. No, I won't be happy. I'd probably be really pissed off, but they aren't blowing up at a rate that worries me. Again, the issues with the 6.2L in the trucks/suv's, yes, that would worry me and I have crossed them off my list. I figure with...

    Victory Driven

Ahhh, yes, the STS V. Very rare, most dealers didn't even know about them. I passed (sadly) on several back in 2014-2016 when I had the chance. Now, I think it's too late. I'd still love a CT6 V, but IDK, is it too late for them too? It's getting hard to find CTS V's and CT6 V's that are lower...

About to Order, Engine Failure Questions

I wouldn't worry about the BW blowing up too much. What do we know of? 10? 20? Call it 30 for fun. It wouldn't stop me from buying one. The 6.2L in the trucks/suvs, that would....and has....stopped me from buying one. Based on comments from different sources and dealer techs, there are close to...

About to Order, Engine Failure Questions

You don't tariff a country who is a great ally and trade partner (i.e. Canada) because 1% of immigration and fentanyl come across the border unless you're a moron or like @bamagrad03 said, you want something. On another note, I think the Supra is pretty cool. I've tried to talk my wife into...

About to Order, Engine Failure Questions

China will continue to get the nicely refreshed XT5, XT6 and the CT6 as they are built there. I think the XT4 is just plain dead. I honestly don't know if the CT5 is built in China, or built here and shipped over.

About to Order, Engine Failure Questions

I'm sure there will be a 2026 CT5 (maybe a CT4). The article doesn't mention Blackwing production, but that's not surprising. Production got off late, so they may delay 2026 BW production a month or two. I would think 26 is it, especially with the EV changeover Cadillac is hell bent on. With the...
