Just paid over $100 for an OEM air filter

And while we're on the subject, has anyone changed the cabin air filter? I'd think if the engine filter is fairly dirty, so is the cabin filter. And if so, which one? Do you go with the allergen CF185 or the carbon CF184

    CT5-V CT5V BW Burning 4qtz/Thousand miles

Call/email Todd at MacMaulkin. He had the lowest price when I bought mine. Nice, easy to deal with. todds@thompsonauto.net

CT5-V Oil change for ct5V BW

If your oil is above the cross hatch area, it's overfilled. I'll admit, the dip stick is at times a little hard to read. I usually pull it, clean it, put it back in, pull it and read it, then do it a second time to be sure. From the book: Follow these guidelines: . To get an accurate reading...

    Engine Failure

That seems odd. You may want to stop by a dealer's service department and see what they show in GM Global Connect for your warranty. Maybe it hasn't updated yet. Standard warranty is 4y/50K

Just paid over $100 for an OEM air filter

Using the controls on the right side of the steering wheel, use the left or right buttons to scroll to oil life, use the thumb wheel to turn to air filter life. That's also where brake pad life, engine revs and hours are.

Just paid over $100 for an OEM air filter

While out running around yesterday, I checked mine. Down to 22% so I guess it's getting time. AC Delco one is $89. @rubberduck, have you used the one at Summit? Of course, not in stock until end of May.

    Engine Failure

I'm not sure if the warranty shows in the app. Perhaps someone else could chime in. If it's GMPP, it would say on the paperwork. Be careful, some dealers imply it's GMPP, and then sell you a third party warranty without saying it's not.

    Engine Failure

@TruckeeTaurus ...I agree, $1000 is stupid cheap. I can't believe you got it that cheap. Was it GMPP or third party? I bought mine from Todd at MacMulkin. Great guy to do business with. $100 deductible, 96 month/80,000 from in service date, paid around $2200

    Spark plug damage

The load is pretty closely watched with tank readings at the store and paperwork from the terminal. When it's full, you wouldn't want to even try to steal some, too much pressure. When it's empty, it's pretty much empty. Whatever is left isn't worth trying to get. I did have one store that would...

    Spark plug damage

@jbawden ...Thanks for your kind words. Not to high jack this thread, but trucking isn't what it used to be. I think a lot of "general freight" drivers don't really care anymore. There's a tremendous amount of knowledge that goes into hauling fuel. Only the best of the best haul fuel (or used...

Wow! Nice work on that chart, and the RPO code. I didn't realize Velocity was one year only.

    Spark plug damage

@Slick Blackwings .....I'm a little offended. I hauled fuel for years and never cross dropped. If you are having issues with multiple cross drops, something is wrong. Poor tank markings, wrong markings, maybe bad drivers, new drivers, IDK. I'd be having a conversation with the drivers or whoever...

CT5-V Manual 25 Blackwing no blindspot monitoring. Why

This is already my thought. Pass on a 2025. Buy a 2022-2024 or jump to 2026. Not that I'm planning on buying anything.

CT5-V HORRIBLE experience with Bayway Cadillac SW

Usually July, but GM being GM???? It could be August. Then, who knows when production starts, and then it has to be shipped. Hense, the goat rodeo

CT5-V HORRIBLE experience with Bayway Cadillac SW

No, brother. I don't mean any disrespect. I think like someone else said, they must have been "working" a deal with someone else. It's just a complete 💩 move on their part. With this story, they've lost more than one customer......tell everyone you know! Go order your 2026 and get it exactly...

CT5-V HORRIBLE experience with Bayway Cadillac SW

I'm sorry you didn't get the car and that you were jerked around....BUT, if I really wanted this car, I would have made a big stink, yelled and screamed, but would have paid the 300. That said, I get principle. If it was a Camry, yeah, F them, walk away. A 5BW I really wanted, I'm not sure...

CT5-V Manual 25 Blackwing no blindspot monitoring. Why

They are letting you walk for 300 bucks? WOW!!! I guess this is really why people hate dealerships. You'd think they'd work something out with you, and screw, I mean, mark up the next car.

Really? That would be my first clue to go elsewhere. Bad gas!!! 🤣 The odds today of "bad gas" is so slim. Don't get me started.

Noob-ish question on 5BW Oil Consumption

Now I'm paranoid. Have to go check my oil level. I'd have to say, mine doesn't use any oil either. I change it when the DIC says too, once a year, maybe 3-4000 miles.
