IMHO, it's a relay attack. That's why they have such large antenna's and get close to the front room/kitchen/garage where the key fob might be sitting. They can also directly attack the CANbus in modern cars... the more computers there are...

The ducts are permanently attached for the CCBs. You have to remove the rubber debris deflector before track driving to get air across the ducts for the CCBs.

This may sound nuts... I had similar rattle...was 100% certain it was the top of the seat back or the head rest. Turned out it was the alcantara headliner that had come loose from a couple of clips right above the seat. Pressed them back into place and the rattle went away (and has not returned).
