No doubt the 5 is a great car. The additional space, luxury features and of course the v8 check a lot of boxes for many people.
The 4s are easier to obtain and alot of folks bought them as hold overs while waiting on the 5.
I considered the 5 vs the 4 but I enjoy the feel of the shorter...
The tracks I have access to are tight so there's no real advantage to a ton of hp. The zl1 is great but overkill that just results in focusing on keep it reigned in vs pushing the car and yourself to the limits. The CT4VBW team talked about things having to earn their way back onto s track car...
I'm 6'4, 265lbs my very first manual was an 1989 RX7. Loved that car, so nimble! I then got it sportbikes and doing trackdays. So at my age recognizing it was getting harder to get out of my leathers and longer to shake stiffness after a trackday I wanted a car I could daily and take to the...
Yes the old girl does show her sadness when you shut it down. There are a number of systems that remain energized until you get at least six feet from the vehicle.
Guys read the manual, page 132,734, anytime the owner or authorized party get with in six feet, the car will wake from slumber in hopes of being driven and respond with joyful lights and various sounds. It's all OK it just means she loves you.
If everyone in my life greeted me the way my dog...
Wow, just four 22 5BWs left in the group with MPs. I wish I knew what you guys were waiting on to see if I could find it outside of GMs normal channels like I had to for mine. Hang in there.
@Rob once those four 5s deliver do you plan to do a 2023 file?
22 deliveries since I joined in May...
@668LT4 to be fair I live very near a racetrack and four communities packed full of car people. But Yes you're right I'd much prefer much less attention. I assume like every other relatively new car around here the excitement of seeing it leaves after a few sightings. I remember being equally...
Is it the lack of 5BW allocations or that the 5BW simply has more customers? If I still needed the space or lived nearer COTA instead of the smaller tracks near Houston, a 5BW would have been on my list, or even a CT5V, but the reality is I was a C8 or C7 GS buyer who simply was too big and tall...
That's crazy because I have the windows tinted and still feel like I'm in a fishbowl when I drive the car, I've been followed to a gas station twice now by well-meaning dudes wanting to confirm if its a Blackwing, had people weave through traffic to pull along side, came out to see I guy taken a...
Yep, and when we consider that a little over half the 22 4BWs were dealer ordered ( nearly all automatics) and the CT5 appears to be outselling the CT4 in both standard and both V configurations it will be interesting to see dealers stock order the BW4 23s in the numbers they did the 22s. I'm...
Hmmm.... If they are refreshing the CT5 for 2024 it makes sense to limit the order banks for the 2023's. The question is have they already sold out what they planned to sell or sold all they believe they can make? The CT5 is proving to be extremely popular. Even on here, the 5BW customers are...
I did 20% all around plus 70٪ in the front. Nano Ceramic tints are more transparent than traditional carbon tints. I have no issues at night. That and the car puts out a ton of light both in the corners and in reverse.
Unfortunately no, I think it really is that the car is smarter than any manual I'm used to driving. Ie it knows when it's on a hill, or turning . It gives revs to pull off based on a number of factors and I'm used to a car only ever responding exactly the same way so in a way it's more engaging...
Things I wish were better;
V button should toggle you back to the mode you were in when you pressed it not to Tour mode.
Tour mode should come with automatic rev-matching as standard.
Give some indicator in the HUD or Dash that hill start or hold is activated, nothing is worse than when you...
