So, slightly mismatched bc the rears are RF but the fronts are not. Michelin doesn't sell a RF in 275/35/19. The ride is excellent and, not surprisingly, softer than the OEM Pilot 4S. There's also less tire noise. They won't perform nearly as well but I'm more interested in the improved wet...
Apologies but I already parked the cars for the night when I saw this thread. Bad angles but I think they look good. On the advice of another thread, I used 6mm spacers to keep them (rears) from rubbing.
This is me at VIR in the 5BW. Wasn't even pushing it hard & also braking way early at the end of the back straight. No brake fade at all even with using the brakes too much per lap --
But you be you & if changing to a more aggressive brake pad gives you more confidence at the track, then do it.
CMP is VERY hard on brakes & probably not unlike LS in that regard. I'm on steelies & had no issues with Castrol SRF Brake Fluid. (Remember to disconnect the battery & DO NOT CLOSE THE TRUNK when you change the brake fluid. Also, put the windows down before doing anything so in case you...
Welcome to the club!
RE Track: You only need to change the brake fluid. The OEM brake pads are up to track abuse. Unlike many other "performance" vehicles, the 5BW is track-ready straight out of the box (except the brake fluid). I've had mine twice at Carolina Motorsports Park (eats brake pads)...
I usually look over, smile, rev the engine a little & then shake my head. I'll ease into 1st gear & let them take-off. I've got nothing to prove. If they know what the 5BW is, they already know from watching all the vids & reviews of her capabilities. If they want to see firsthand what she's...
She's got 32,589 on the odo now.
Changed the oil & oil filter
Rotated the tires from one side to the other. Was pretty impressed with the even wear across the tread on both fronts & rears. They all seem to be wearing evenly. I thought baby might be needing a new pair of shoes soon but looks...
IIRC, the vehicle came with a tire warrany from Michelin. Look over all the paperwork provided by your dealer when you picked up the vehicle. Even if you don't have it, I'd still contact the dealer &/or Michelin about possible warranty coverage.
Typical commute to work from door-to-door. (I have 3 other job sites I have to commute to that are another 25 miles added from home. This is why I've got +32k miles on my 5BW!)
From the first day I got my MY23 5BW, I've had the center belt tucked away in the trunk & it does as yours -- sticks down approx 1.5 feet. It just dangles there behind the seat in the trunk. 32k miles later, no ill effects & I've never noticed it to make any noise.
I've got 32,062 miles on my 5BW 6MT. 2 track days but otherwise mostly highway miles. The OEM Michelins are worn evenly front to back & side to side at all 4 corners. They are almost but not quite to the wear bars. I'm probably looking at a new pair of shoes in the next couple of months.
