What did you do to your Blackwing today?

Same question - Beautiful. What are the offsets and widths you're running?

What did you do to your Blackwing today?

Very nice! What are are the specs on the VS5-RS? I am likely to do the exact same set-up color, etc.

    Apex Wheels for CT4-V Blackwing

Looks great. I am planning to pick up a set when i am due for new rubber. What and how is the offset vs stock? Any spacers? Do i see a stud conversion as well? Do i see a

CT4 BW Bridgestone Potenza All Seasons?

This is what performance winter tires are for. I run vredestein wintrac pros on my bmw 335 and can recommend. All seasons = no seasons. Run the ps4s in the warm and and a bad ass winter set in the cold. Mismatching compounds front and rear is a horrible idea as you will completely over or...

CT4 BW Bridgestone Potenza All Seasons?

If you are after steering feedback then you want a summer tire. Steering feedback and all season tires is like an oxymoron.

CT4-V Some thoughts after test driving an auto 4-v blackwing, and asking for some advice regarding manual vs auto

"Better" is so hard to define. I drove an RS3 and found it to be a very typical Audi - nose heavy and hence understeers like crazy. Personally, I struggle to enjoy any AWD car on the street for exactly this reason - pushing understeer is perhaps my least favorite thing on earth!

CT4-V Some thoughts after test driving an auto 4-v blackwing, and asking for some advice regarding manual vs auto

It does look SO good. I think that Alfa is the best looking daily driver car I've ever seen. Why did you cross it out because it's an alfa? Reliability concerns?

CT4-V Some thoughts after test driving an auto 4-v blackwing, and asking for some advice regarding manual vs auto

Agree with this 100%. I'd add the giulia quadrifogliogliolgiolgo if considering the auto. That I said, I am very confused these days in that for 25 years I've said cars should be german and bikes should be italian.... and here i am in a GM forum!

    Motorcycles

I agree that Code is the best. Also, kind of neat coincidence. I HAD a hypermotard 1100 evo and then 821 and now a Tunono V4 factory and i used to race an R6. Loved them all, but I miss that air cooled 1100 more than just about any vehicle I've ever owned.

    2025 Fat A** BMW M5

My goodness. I've been a lifetime BMW loyalist and found myself in a 4BW because "Ze Germans have lost the plot." (Ha!) and the M cars just are not drivers cars anymore. but this takes it to a whole new level of absurdity. How can you have 5,000 (not 4,000) + pound car and call it an M car...

    CT4-V 2025 CT4V Blackwing - 1100 Preliminary Order Accepted Today

Makes sense! Yea when i say every day i mean everyday. I called the dealer within 30 mins of mine going live. You should try to get an allocation for 2025. Your must have list is unlikely to be filled on a lot. Red+6mt alone will be rare. But same principle, start calling dealers and asking if...

    CT4-V 2025 CT4V Blackwing - 1100 Preliminary Order Accepted Today

The coastal blue makes it hard. The other two are pretty easy! That said I ended up with a black one which I had to compromise on - looks great for 30 seconds after it's washed and then looks terrible!

    CT4-V 2025 CT4V Blackwing - 1100 Preliminary Order Accepted Today

I wouldn't say they "sit" - but they come in and go out. You just need to look everyday, and call every dealer than has one. 99% of the time they will be customer cars or gone before you get there... but you only need to hit the 1% once. that's what happened to me - one drive to albany from...

    TC/Stabilitrak overly intrusive

don't get me wrong - i typically keep the engine spinning 3-4K RPM to stay in the poweband. However, it's a somewhat unique circumstance in slower driving. 2nd gear at 20 mph is ~2K RPM. I am not going to shift into 1st gear driving down the road. There is also a difference between lugging and...

    TC/Stabilitrak overly intrusive

I get it but I don't get it. A car in 2nd gear >2K rpm isnt being lugged. I am not sure what the alternative is - downshift to 1st >20 mph? The torque multiple in 2nd gear should enable standing on the throttle from 2K rpm with no lugging. I also wouldn't describe the behavior as lugging - it's...

Haha! Well put. Glad I still have it - it's a nice variety between the BM and BW.

    TC/Stabilitrak overly intrusive

Interesting. I just checked the gear ratios and the 4 is considerably taller geared than my f30 335 6mt. With the 5, it helps to have 600+ tqs that come on lower. The 4 doesnt make peak torque until 3500rpm and then “only” makes 455 tqs, which sure is still a lot compared to alot of cars, but...

    TC/Stabilitrak overly intrusive

Yea, agree-hence my confusion. I wish i ciuld articulate it better, but the hesitation is strange. Also, brings me to my other “complaint” (i love this car)-gearing is so tall. Both clips are admittedly low in rpm band as several have pointed out, but its 2nd gear-what else can i do?!?! These...

    TC/Stabilitrak overly intrusive

Yea, i realize its a bit insane. If you look when power is applied youll see the rpms bounce a bit up and down and then smoothly increase. When thats happening i am feeling the power come in an out. Reminds me of my old 328i with open diff and stiffened suspension and swaybars. When it was a...

    TC/Stabilitrak overly intrusive

So, I am a bit stumped as I continue to try to understand this. I spent some time with TC and stabilitrak completely off and in track mode with PTM set to Race 2. i still seem to get this weird hesitation which feels to me like TC cutting power (but note the light doesn't blink on the dash). It...
