Blackwing Order Tracking - 2022 Model Year

Oh great, it's like the 4th Gen Camaro 30th and 35th editions.

    Subwoofer Install

Has anyone installed a sub in their CT5V BW? Looking for some inspiration before I go to the local audio shop. Now, you may be saying to yourself, "this moron needs to listen to the beautiful music of that LT4, not his stupid Coldplay and Carly Rae Jepsen playlist." Well, my friends, that is...

Not sure why, but I've always noticed that tire shine makes wheels look bigger.

    Blackwing Constraints Tracker

What does that do to the dealers allocation and/or TPW? Do they have to wait for another allocation, or do they just get the TPW pushed back?

    Blackwing Constraints Tracker

The same week that your dealer got a CT5VBW allocation with those items on constraint, there could have been another dealer that was able to order those items. GM has a set number of options they allocate every week, and it changes every week (except for carbon fiber...that's never gonna...

    Oil Changes

I wouldn't. Could you without any issue? Probably, but why not just use the proper part? Also, if you have an engine issue, no matter how unrelated, do you want the dealer to have any ammo to deny a warranty claim? From GM Bulletin, I know it doesn't state UPF46 specifically, but what it does...

    CT5-V engine surge / "porpoising"

The engine can take light loads until fully warmed up. Sitting at idle does nothing to warm up the rest of the drivetrain. If you sit for 5 minutes at idle you've done nothing but waste your time and give yourself a false sense of being able to romp on the transmission and rear end and tires.

    CT5-V engine surge / "porpoising"

Drive it right off, unless I need to put something in for navigation, then maybe 20-30 seconds of idle before driving.

    Drag Radials for CT5-V Blackwing

LOUD is an understatement. I don't know if the wider tires are worse, but the 245 R888Rs I had on my Golf R made it unbearable at highway speeds...probably worse than a straight piped car. It seems weird that tires can be so loud, but try out an R888R and you'll see. Edit...the R888Rs make you...

Buy used or gamble with order?-Ct5

Exactly how many 5VBW did they allocated for 2022? If it's less than 3, I'd buy the used one.

    Random

I only read through it one time, but I fail to see how "blackwing" was any part of anything until Cadillac named the TTV8 for the CT6V the "Blackwing" engine.

    Tapout CT4BW Lowering springs installed

Does the magride require any calibration, or zeroing for the new ride height?

    CT5-V engine surge / "porpoising"

I noticed my rear view vibrates quite a lot, too. I only notice it when using "real" mirror mode. I could be wrong, but I don't think the PDR will overwrite. Once it fills up, assuming you have it on automatic recording, it will just tell you the card is full. Surround view will overwrite the...

    Camber Adjustment Bolt Torque

BW5 and BW4 are the same. Interestingly, the 4BW indicates the lower steering knuckle bolt is one time use. Just the lower bolt, just the 4BW...weird.

    Rear Diff Fluid

I thought it was standard on transmissions too, but the CT5VBW requires fluid to be EXACTLY 3.2mm below the fill plug. Like WTF...couldn't the fill hole have been cast 3.2mm lower?

    Brake Shudder CT4-V

Well, if you are getting into the brakes THAT much the last thing you want to do is lock them up at 80+
