I wanted a 5 but couldnt quite come to terms with a 6-figure GM car. I dont need the extra space and the more I looked at the 4 the more it seemed to actually fit what I needed and wanted from a car in this class.
Now that I have a 4 its been great and I dont think the shorter range of the...
I just got mine replaced last week after letting the original crack propagate for the last several months. Ran the claim thru USAA, Safelite did the work, I dont have a HUD so the glass is fine for me. Whatever they installed was aftermarket but says Made in USA and only took a week to get. The...
Toy? Hmm, not really but I do play with it.
I live 3hrs from where I connect to go to work. Its a 190mi drive and the first 86mi you need to be able to pass to keep your sanity unless you too want to enjoy the feeling of cruising 10 under with a 5th wheel.
Anyway, I commute in my BW (formerly...
They close my favorite stretch of Hooligan road Nov 1st - May 1st so I took the 4 on a end of year rip through the backcountry. Temps in the mid 50's, not a cloud to be seen, couldn't really think of a better way to annihilate a tank of gas.
And the cherry on top, DOT has heard my prayers and...
Any of the PTM modes will illuminate 2 amber lights, traction and stability control. They aren't off per se but rather bypassed and its a liability/legal issue as to why they illuminate. Unless you only hit the V button once instead of twice, they were on at SM, you must have just not noticed...
If I was a dealer and someone came in asking if they could use a weight and oil formula spec’d for another car with a different engine Id probably say I dont know and hope they left.
I could then envision this person going on the internet and saying the dealer had no clue what oil their car...
Its formulated for the carbon clutch discs in the diff and Im pretty sure its the same fluid as was used in the SS since I remember that stuff being pricey as well.
Dont bother with him, hes already had more than enough help with his delusional perception of routine maintenance, including part numbers for ramps that work, and prefers to lament over and over how his IMSA 4 cant possible be serviced by mere mortals.
My biggest gripe is the floor isnt flat, that pedal canyon is lame. 3hr drives are minor annoying, 5+hr drives major annoying. And driving barefoot its far more work than should be to get your flip flops back on.
And its 2023, where are the rock proof windows at?
First World Problems. 8k mi/...
Theres an ocean of great 5w-30 to choose from and only one 0w-40SC so Id have to see something a bit more compelling than a powerpoint slide to switch.
Sewell has one of these parked under the awning and it…looks like a stick of butter. Working out of DAL these last couple days and drove past it a couple times, daytime, but it is shaded under the awning and I was very much struck by the fact it didnt look like the pictures. Hopefully sunlight...
Assuming you will be within the 1 year from date of purchase for eligibility, email jenifer@racespringmountain.com with your vehicle details (VIN, purchase date, etc) and ask to be notified of date availability.
Please go back to Reddit where lazy questions are the norm and those who ask them filled with the righteous entitlement to being coddled with an answer.
You use a lot of words like “enthusiast” and “car lover” but those groups of people usually read the owners manual.
Be sure and post your best lap times in the Spring Mountain Track Times thread…its been languishing as of late and with cooler Fall temps should be more in line with what a baseline car in most places should achieve
