    Z06 to CT5V BW

This was posted on the media dumps thread the other day. Strong endorsements for a few legit car people. https://www.cadillacvnet.com/forums/threads/media-dumps.1834/post-122731

    P219A code 26 5bw

I went to look up the code and came across this short video detailing some of the possibilities. I think I've read of fuel injectors or plugs on the 5BW causing some low mileage issues.

There's a CT4 BW on carsandbids. Just an FYI in case someone is looking for one.

Transmission, Sunroof, and CCB are the big 3 polarizing options for the BW, in my experience.

    Blown engine

I want to think the LT4 manufacturing process is a bit more specialized than the L87 truck engine, but probably not knowing GM. The "built by" deal is more marketing than special treatment I gather. I mean its true one human built my engine, but it's just parts bin supply chain and no...

    Blown engine

I think at this point an in-spec LT4 replacement is what future buyers will actually seek out. Am I speaking for the group that we secretly hope for a replacement? Still think most LT4's will live a long life. I wonder how many of these failures did a 500 mile oil change?

Blown Engine(add me to the list)

The improbable generally doesn’t sway my decision making too much (unless we’re talking about seat belts, helmets, health, etc), and what a shame it would have been if I made the choice to settle for something unlikely. It’s still a big IF in my world, but an out of warranty failure for me...

    Service Parking Brake Issue

The system is designed to disengage automatically if you attempt to drive off with the break :)still on. Maybe there is a flaw in the system or it's just another anomaly in Global B. I don't see how the p-brake could seize in this situation, rather I think its just not getting the signal to...

Curated by Cadillac - Hand built CT5BW

Seems like that move sort of dilutes to the special 20th anniversary cars a bit. Just like Dodge did with the one year only '21 Hellcat Durango...then it came back in '23 and looks to remain for the foreseeable future deleting huge amounts of equity for OG buyers that thought they had a...

CT5-V Was about to enter the 2026 rodeo...but then...

The first thing I did was check the wheel color of the wheels on the Electric Blue BW in the Savagegeese video where Jack is on the limiter destroying a pair of Pilot Sports for 2 minutes...it has the graphite wheels.

CT5-V Was about to enter the 2026 rodeo...but then...

This is a cool story! Fascinating when you put something out 'there' and it comes back to you like this. It takes a blend of determination, patience, and readiness when the opportunity presents itself.

Tire shop damaged my car! Advice?

I would definitely dig around a little more, especially from under the car and the door bottom. Do those come painted from GM? I think I would rather get an OEM replacement if it shipped painted. I always bring flat repairs in loose (off the car). Saves me from needing a ride or wasting...

So, who keeps track of the used car market prices?

Everyone has a number; no matter how important/valuable the object is to you. Sometimes you realize the object is more meaningful than the fair market value or sometimes the market value is better than the personal value. Find your lane and you might end up with two 5BW that you can't part with!

Thoughts on purchasing a used blackwing that was a V academy car. Try to get at bargain price or avoid at all costs??

Not to mention it appears it was a press car before its time at SM. I agree with the sentiment that the car will probably be fine, but you have to get a great deal on it because SM cars are the proverbial scarlet letter in the retail market (for most).

Dealer Tech Didnt Realize I have PDR

Just to be clear, my comments are about @caddydadee story, not the OP. Also, I'm all about honesty, being personally accountable, and an expectation of professionalism, not so much about knee-jerk calls for sacking people that are otherwise good employees (assuming here). This is a great...

Dealer Tech Didnt Realize I have PDR

So much cancel culture in this thread...I get it in the context of the OP starting it in 2022, but not so much now. A personal opinion and not being proficient at a manual is cause for firing? Maybe he is a fantastic tech that does factory level service work.

What were your must have options?

Just a side note on dash cams; it's important to consider the plausibility that the presence of dash cam footage can actually work against you when assigning responsibility/liability in a crash. It seems counter-intuitive but there are times that the lack of footage can serve you better than...
