Anyone wire a toggle into the pump circuit? location for wiring would be helpful. This old hack saved my BMW from going missing 50 years ago.

CT4-V Disappointed after lengthy Test drive

To compare either BW to light and even 2door cars is truly impossible. Indeed, my 5 is a whole different beast from my 4, but neither are my 911 or 356 or 2002tii. Never expected them to be. However, if your 4 is out of warranty plenty more power is certainly available in the aftermarket. So...

    Michelin PS4S issue

Had an alignment check done on 5BW with 4700 miles and revealed significant anomalies in the settings. See the attachment which describes just the front. I'm not happy this wasn't caught and I do believe similar was and is responsible for my tire problems. I also learned that GM will pay for...

*Help* Looking for a no BS dealer

I have bought 2 BW from Sewell, formerly known as Ken Batchelor but owned in the Sewell orbit for years. They have been totally honest, solved all issues, delivered what they said and are price honest. If you want the name of my salesman DM and I will send it along. Top notch, knows the cars...

Conti Extreme Contact dws06 plus vs. Michelin Pilot Sport all season 4 ?

I put the Conti's on my 4BW. Never a fan of Michelin since they stiffed me on a thrown belt years ago, which damaged my Ferrari. Anyway, the Conti's are somewhat quieter and I can't reach the max performance of either them or the Michelins. Always have been a Conti fan, and disappointed they...

    Michelin PS4S issue

True, but I think in combination with the camber at the high end of the correct range, we may see a cause. I've asked the Service Manager and my salesman to move this epidemic up the line with Cadillac and tire folks. Sent them a link to this thread. The tire folks should know if there are other...

    Michelin PS4S issue

It would seem the issue may be a combination of excess toe AND excess negative camber. Those 2 together might encourage that inner tire wear. I I think the toe should be around .1 and the camber 1.00 for lower end of the range...

    Michelin PS4S issue

Would love to see the alignment results, as it seems we have a small epidemic. I wonder if the tires are bad...

    Michelin PS4S issue

I had the exact same wear on my CTV with 12,000 miles. Other work that took precedence at the dealer (oil pan replacement) so they did not check alignment until after that work, which did affect the alignment anyway. So no evidence to support a cause. I had thought we had an alignment issue on...

    5BW rear deck speaker upgrades?

Looked at the current OE speakers, and they are pretty lame. Seems like they'd have to come out from inside the car, and there's probably not a lot of room to work...any thoughts on that from anyone??

    5BW rear deck speaker upgrades?

Don't want to get into an add-on sub, so what might improve the rear 6x9s?

    Upgraded

Satisfactorily, not great not bad. With the CPO and low miles the 5 was pretty pricey, but certainly not a price for a new one. Trade was average.

    Upgraded

Traded 2033 4BW towards a CPO 2024 5 BW...now I've really hit the big time. Summit White with the Light gray seats and minimal options. Who needs 'em...Amazing difference and an even better all-rounder. Last 4 0385 if that's how I get it into the Registry..

    Porous Oil Pan!

Apparently they have to move it considerably. All the cradles, mounts, etc have to be moved.

    Porous Oil Pan!

Apparently there has been a tech bulletin on this problem. Note that a LOT has to be removed to get it changed, way past the bottom of the engine: Cradles, suspension, damper pulley, etc. Manual lists the job at 19.5 hours!
