Looking for recommendations for low dust brake pads. low mileage CT5 (3400 miles) but can't stand all the dust. TIA

In case anyone is searching for the CCB front brake pads, GM has an updated part number. Old: 85143795 New: 86804586 Still made by Pagid. You can tell them apart by the numbers on the back. Old pads are N22 and new pads are N23. Price has just about doubled.

I want to change the brake pads as the dust is crazy. When going to a pad that doesn't have the sensor, is there a light on the dash that comes on? If so, does it stay on? Probably going to go with Power Stop Z23-405 and Z26-1053 as I believe these will fit correctly but no sensor. Any help...

Nice! Yeah it’s crazy how filthy my wheels get from daily driving it from all the brake dust. Definitely might go with the Ceramic Brake pads because of that. Now I’m debating whether to stick with iron rotors or switching to carbon ceramic rotors. Thanks again for your inputs.

big thumbs up for the Ferodo DS2500. The GT350 has those as stock pads. Fantastic dual use pads good street manners and holds up very well on track even on a heavy car. Brake dust is same as other similar pads.

I've tried the ferodo DS 2500 and they're really good because I used them as my track brake pads back in the day on my Scion FRS which is now known as the Toyota gr86 or Subaru BRZ.

If your BW is street-only and you’re looking to cut down on brake dust, the Carbotech 1521 pads are a great option. I’ve been running them on my 5BW for about a month and a half, and brake dust is down by roughly 80%. The pads even come slotted for the wear sensors.

If you do only occasional tracking and don’t run race tires then the DS2500 are the right pad for you. I cannot speak to the brake dust compared to stock CT4 pads as I have a CT5 with the carbon ceramic rotors. But on my GT350 the brake dust seemed similar to other pads.

Have you done brake pads yet? Go with a full race on front(non-street) and an aggressive street pad for the back. They make a big difference when trying to push back your braking points. Supposedly your not supposed to use race pads on the street, but I'm finding them to be fine for daily...

I’m leaning towards the DS2500 since you’ve previously mentioned that it’s a great pad for both street and track use. As Super Saloon mentioned above, I’ll just ceramic coat my wheels so the brake dust comes off easier. That’ll solve worries with brake dust.

Thanks for sharing. Wow! 80% less brake dust…that’s a big difference. Now I’m debating on whether I should get the Ferodo DS2500 (for street and track use) or the Carbotech 1521 (for significantly less brake dust). Have you or anyone else used the Carbotech 1521 on the track?
