I've come to expect it in cars after a cold start. It's been the case with numerous cars - Porsches, BMW's, this one, etc. with numerous attempts at changing fluids to get rid of it.
Fluid changes have done little to nothing to change it and any less notchiness in the cold 1-2 shift when cold...
I got the auto braking turned off as it was super invasive. I also turned the gap to the closest setting.
I'll still get the red pop up on the dash if I come up on someone's rear fast enough (even though quite a sizable distance behind). Not sure there is a way to completely disable that.
SICK. Can't wait to get back up there in April with the 4V.
Definitely going to be an adjustment coming from the most recent 718 Cayman I tossed around up there earlier this year.
As someone who has extensively modified his Porsches and BMW's over the years, I agree it does kinda suck.
But considering I bought this vehicle to primarily be a kid to school hauler, it's probably for the best. lol.
To that point, the car is great in stock form. But I do miss how easy it was...
I called earlier and Ashley told me all 2023 dates are filled at this point. Said to keep an eye out as they will release 2024 dates soon.
*edit*
Notice someone said they booked today. I figure its worth noting they did ask if my vehicle was manual or auto. I assume they have a lot more autos...
I'm in the same boat. Seen so many horror stories with it. But when maintained properly and removed in a timely manner when it needs to, it does a great job at doing what it's designed to do.
At first I didn't.
Then I got a speeding ticket 2 weeks into ownership.
Now I changed it to display my speed and the speed limit of the road I'm on. lol
Coincidentally my car came with the front deflector kit in the trunk but I haven't really invested a lot of energy into it just yet and likely won't until my first pad/rotor change. It does look like something geared towards getting more air to the brakes for cooling during track sessions.
Holy smokes, just read through this thread. Thank god the dealership did the right thing and bought the car back from you.
What an insane experience. Now you got me wanting to get up under my car. Jeez.
Can the "aftermarket" dive planes even be installed on a non CF car? I thought the brackets were sonic welded to the bumper fascia and as a result, if your car didnt come with it you were more or less SOL.
