A few hot laps at VIR with CT4-V Blacking

I don’t know who HOD has signed up, but they have a great crew of coaches. I’m sure you’ll get a great coach and I’m happy chat any time.

2024 Cadillac CT4-V and CT5-V Blackwing Configurator Now Live

I appreciate the suggestions, but if all this is true then I’m just going to chalk this web site up as garbage that should’ve never been put in production.

2024 Cadillac CT4-V and CT5-V Blackwing Configurator Now Live

Yes, it's been broken for at least a couple of days for me too. Some options don't have picture icons, some things you click on and get a message that says "Sorry, there was an error completing your request, try again later". After that it usually won't let you toggle any options and you have...

A few hot laps at VIR with CT4-V Blacking

Drop me a DM with your name and email. I can contact Ken at HOD and try to make that happen. I’ll be there all 3 days.

    CT4V-BW "VIR Track Edition"

What is the front suspension reconfiguration? Will you be at VIR next weekend for the V-Club event?

    Is it totaled?

Just to clarify - I assume you mean Track mode with the Sport PTM mode. I do the same with this car on track.

    Is it totaled?

I’m really sorry this happened. I’ve been there and know how it feels. Drop me a PM if you want me to look at the PDR data, I’ve done this a fair bit, including on my own crash. I’m a big believer in learning and sharing as much as we can about these awful events...

    CT5-V New Car, Battery Challenges

I'd also put a tender on the battery and make sure it is getting fully charged. You might be driving it enough to start and run ok, but it still could be low.

    Carbon Ceramic Brake Burnishing

You can bed them on track and you don't have to use GMs full procedure (most tracks won't let you do a bunch of repeated hard stops on the straight due to the risk of someone ramming into you). However, you need to realize that the first time they truly get hot enough to burnish the CCBs you...

What did you do to your Blackwing today?

I did another track alignment for VIR.

Anyone upgrade to red seat belts to replace your black oem ones i did 😆.

I'm still hoping he posts part numbers. I posted some of them a while back, but have lost them. Looking at the service manual, the process looks very straightforward.

    CT4-V What Tires

You can try calling Quantum who is in the industrial park at VIR, but honestly I’d just do it somewhere local and leave it. Don’t worry about the warranty. As long as you haven’t tuned the car and are running the recommended oil you’ll be fine. If you do money shift it’ll be logged and they...

    Brake fluid exchange procedure

I just finished flushing mine with SRF. You can do it with 1 Liter bottle, but I went ahead and put 2L through this time. If you’re going to open a second bottle you might as well use it all as it’s just going to absorb moisture once open. Also, you have to add fluid really slowly to the master...

    Jacking up your Blackwing

In for post #300 on a thread about how to jack up your car!

    Brake fluid exchange procedure

First of heard of them having a bleeder valve from the factory. The FSM has a procedure to bleed the clutch by pulling a vacuum on it like this.

    CT5-V Tracking 5BW Advice

Thank you @Carguyshu for the details from Tadge. I don’t see the disconnect as he said “Instead, when aggressive brake usage is detected, we monitor brake pressure, wheel slip, vehicle deceleration and fluid consumption per brake corner.” …previously I said “The system can detect the compress...

    CT5-V Tracking 5BW Advice

I don’t believe that is correct. The system can detect the compress ability of the fluid and throw a warning as well as changing the brake feel. I had this happen on track at a moderate pace in my C8 with stock fluid and pads. I would also assume that the system could detect when a given...

    CT5-V Tracking 5BW Advice

I know VIR looks like it has a lot of run off, but in reality once you leave the pavement you are a passenger until you hit something.
