    First track day

I’m sure you know this, but just in case: did you press the V button twice? Pressing only one time will not engage PTM.

    ct4 v blackwing upgraded rotors

Sometimes it works. To be honest , for $150-200 a good mechanic can resurface the fronts without sacrificing too much iron. It drives me nuts , to feel pulsation under light braking around 60mph

Wheel Alignment - Review and tips

I agree. The car handles so much better with the correct alignment. I will dial mine a tad back , since -2.6 in the front L is reducing ride comfort a bit. I will report back after getting everything ‘perfect’.

    ct4 v blackwing upgraded rotors

Sorry to hear about the warped rotor. I will not get into a discussion wether warped rotor is a ‘real’ thing, but these rotors are thick enough that you can get them resurfaced and remove any pad deposits/uneven wear. As for alternatives- check if Girodisc has 380X34 rings. You might be able to...

Wheel Alignment - Review and tips

2nd update: I took the car for an accurate alignment on a Hunter machine. It turns out my front camber is -2.6L & -2.1R I find it interesting that I was able to get so much negative camber without even using the “camber plates” at mentioned in the owners manual ( see above post #1). I’m sure...

TPMS sensors, but parts in general...

Tire rack sells our TPMS. It’s the complete item, no need to buy 2 different items and connect them together.

Wheel Alignment - Review and tips

Update: I followed @poor-sha video and it applies to the 4BW as well. I banged out the top bolt and just released the bottom nut. I was able to get around -2.0 in the front. The 4BW has another option on the shock tower ( similar to ZL1 1LE) to achieve additional -0.5 which I won’t use since...

    Jacking up your Blackwing

Thanks for the link. If I read it correctly, it’s basically the pinch weld cutouts ( for sure in the front). These lift points are close to impossible to use, and a matter of time until we’ll break some plastics.

    Jacking up your Blackwing

Thank you for your feedback. Personally, I had bad experiance with this type of pinch weld pad. It shifted during a lift and broke my rocker panel. Maybe I just didn't use it correctly.

    Jacking up your Blackwing

This is the BMW pad that can fit (not perfect) to the holes in the front and rear

    Jacking up your Blackwing

As a former 6gen Camaro, I thought it would be simple to jack up my 4BW. It seems I was wrong. The pinch weld area is very narrow and plastic moldings are in the way. I tried to lift the car with both floor jack and a 2 post lift. It’s not an easy task… I purchased the ZL1 Addon (Camaro) jack...

Wheel Alignment - Review and tips

Before alignment both front and rear were minus 1.2-1.3 The toe is very easy to adjust in this car …if you have a lift…

Wheel Alignment - Review and tips

Looking at the 5BW video makes me wonder if the 4BW also use a spline bolt that you have to hammer out. The alignment tech definitely did not tap it out, he just loosened it.

Wheel Alignment - Review and tips

I took my car to a race shop for an alignment. My goal was to get -2.0 in the front as this is my daily driver and I was worried about ride comfort and steering 'wondering' with the -2.5 option as seen in the owners manual (removing bolt from the strut tower - similar to Camaro ZL1 1LE - See...

    VBLKWNG CT5-V Blackwing Tour Thread

Interesting. This is similar to the Camaro. However, I could not find this adjustment bolt (#2 in the diagram) in the CT4 BW.....

I give up - best way to get deposit back?

    1. Not all states allow a non refundable deposit. 2. Nice communication with the sales manager always helps. 3. Always pay a deposit by credit card, so you could dispute if the goat’s crap hits the fan.

The dealer sent me this doc from the service manual. I still don’t feel warm and fuzzy about the correct fluid…

    Rear Diff Fluid

I called. Dealer did not know. They said somebody from service needs to dig into the service manual, as the car is too new and it doesn’t show under the parts list. They had several options which 2 of them listed above. Didn’t know which one is the correct item.
