This project is for a complete replacement ( hats + rings).
Clearly after you own the hats , you can purchase new rings.
At this point, no option to use OE hat with their rings ( like you can do with C7 / Gen 6)
Excellent timing to ask that question. I’m working with Girodisc on developing rotors for the 4BW. Prototype should be ready in a couple of weeks and I’ll test it at VIR late April.
I was never worried about a few ml of old fluid in the ABS. I was more worried about early stories of people having their clutch pedal dropping to the floor during a track event.
If you do the owners manual method you do not need to take off the tires. You do need to jack up the front of the car. Once you punch in the ‘camber plates’ holes, somebody will need to pull the wheel assembly away from the car.
This could be an entire thread with so many opinions, since each person is on a different speed/experience and different track.
Ferodo DS1.11 and Pagid Yellow are good but too expensive , Raybestos are disappearing from the market. Carbotech/Gloc XP12 are good but last only 2-3 days. More...
I’m working with Girodisc on rotors for the 4BW. They said they want to create an option for the 5 as well.
As for sensors - yes they were a pain. I think that next time I’ll just zip tie and not use them.
It all depends on the track and your experience level. If you are new to track driving , you’ll be fine ( change the brake fluid). If you are an advance group driver on a fast track, you might deglaze the pads and create hot spots on the rotors. Ask me how I know…
Good questions. I had a couple of correspondence with @Mirza Grebovic on this subject as well. This is what I understood -
With the 4BW you have 2 options to create more negative camber in the front:
1. Use the owners manual instructions (punch the holes on the strut tower, or as a call them...
Originally I just adjusted the steering knuckle as shown by @poor-sha on post #4. See pic attached. On this method, you do not use the "camber plates" as shown in the owners manual (shown on post #1).
You can (and in my opinion should) just do the adjustment of the 'camber plates' and get the...
3rd update (way overdue) :
Daily driving on the track alignment performed with the above video methood (5BW / 6th gen Camaro SS/1LE) significantly degraded the comfort of daily driving. I could feel every imperfection on the road , small pot holes would feel 'bigger' and the steering 'wondering'...
I’m trying to find more info about the new EBC SR series sintered track pads. I’ve worked with their track pads in the past. It was ok, but not for more experienced drivers. This new product might be different.
Did anybody confirm the rear pad size for 4BW?
I confirmed that the front size is 1405 ( same as 6 pistons Camaro/C7 Z06) but not sure about the rear size.
Thanks for your help.
I just did my oil change on my 4BW. Used 74mm 15 flutes

ALSO- to prevent a big mess when removing the filter, I used this flex funnel. Worth every penny!
