Ordered end of July and the dealer confirmed my order was picked up this week. Will be moving out of 1100 status Tuesday. Took 7 months before it was picked up. No CF, obviously.

You can buy the thin padded seat protectors that go on the cushion and up the seat back. They’re designed to protect your interior against car seats. I used them on my cars when my kids were young and it worked perfectly. Now food and drink mess, that’s another story…..

I ordered from Sewell Dallas. But I agree, getting an allocation is the biggest barrier. Nothing wrong with waiting and getting it exactly how you want it. After all, you’re dropping $100k on something you should get it exactly how you want it.

Ordered July 29 @ Sewell Dallas. Just got a call that my order is up next to be accepted. No CF was the only stipulation. Exciting times, indeed.

My GT500 doesn’t have the Carbon fiber dash trim. I was told that many dealers were required to order without if they wanted to get a ‘21 built due to CF constraints. So CF shortages are hitting everyone.

I couldn’t see paying $6k for seats. I went with the standard interior….

Good question, I always wondered that myself when I first heard/read that saying. But it gets the point across in the most graphical of senses so I’ve always used it to punctuate a conversation where loud sounds are the subject matter. :D
