Agreed. The Cup 2 R tires are really made for track use and not regular street use.
Since I will be tracking my BW, I will be happy to buy any PP Cup tires that get taken off for proper street tires. Just message me.
Apparently the new PDR 5BW has 34 data signals. I read that is about double from last year but cannot find the source. I saw some videos of the new PDR on YouTube during the Precision Package rollout and it looks pretty cool to review your performance after a track session.
Anyone have 2025 5BW with the Performance Data Recorder? I want to know if requires a SD card and, if so, what specs are required for the card (speed, max size, etc). Plus, share any thoughts on how it works with the new 33” dash screen.
TSB is not going to be very useful. First, how many enthusiast who run R comp tires would go to the dealership to get new tires? Second, what are the odds a dealership would have a set of R comps in stock to sell? I think the answer is zero.
It is a very interesting color and changes depending on the light. Lots of great pics showing how it looks in different situations in the Deep Space Metallic thread.

Nice find! DSM is a great choice. It would have been my first choice if it was a bit more blue instead of grey, Other than the sunroof (not my preference), it sounds like you snagged a build I would have been very happy to live with.
Check out the GM Order Event Codes sticky post at the top. It looks like it might be sitting in a lot (code 4B00) in Lansing (based on codes 4200 & 4300).
Congrats on snagging a BW and joining the GOAT rodeo. Share some details on what options you are getting.

I want to...
I recall reading that 2026 production starts in early June with orders opening May 1. This is for non-V. If it is like 2025, the V and BW production will be sometime later. But who knows.

If you ordered the Precision Package and are taking off the Cup 2 R tires then I am the guy who is interested in them. I will be tracking the car so a couple of extra sets of track tires will be nice to have. Message me if you are interested in selling them.
PSC2 tires are marginal in the rain when new. After a little bit of wear (which happens quickly) they become very sketchy in the rain very quickly. Fantastic on a dry race track though.
I have a PP configured with PS4 tires. So it can be done in the GM order tool.
I have a long drive home in what will be unknown weather conditions. So I went with the safe bet. I have spare wheels ready for a set of the PSC2 tires. So if anyone is taking off their PSC2 tires to replace with...
Cadillac website confirms that they are being built. Here is a PP built car with CF1 & CF2 (and just about every other option as well):
2025 CT5-V V-Series Blackwing RWD
How durable is the PVD black coating? I will be swapping wheels often (I have different tires for track). I like the black lugs but I figure the raw titanium will hold up better to repeated (ab)use.
