Had it in my last Civic Type R - liked it and found it easy to keep looking and feeling good if you clean it every 6 months, so changed my BW order to add it and don't regret it for a second.
Have to say my experience with the CQuartz Leather 2.0 and Sky Cool Gray has been disappointing. I applied one coat all over the day I got the car. 1,100 miles later, very noticeable dye transfer from jeans on the driver's seat, and it hasn't really done much to prevent dirt marks on the door...
Agreed. I'm still in break-in but drove it 85 miles yesterday, first trip up to San Francisco for work and back. So comfy yet so beastly. It's kind of a conflicting feeling driving something that is actually increasing in value, but it's kind of like owning a house that does the same. You gotta...
Wow, that's a nearly identical spec to mine (-sunroof, +bronze wheels, Rift exterior) and like +$400 MSRP. Kind of nuts. I didn't think the market was this strong still! Then again, if someone gave me the same for mine but I had to go back to the end of the line and wait again... I dunno if I...
While it's despicable when people block EV charging stations with their ICE vehicles, I agree these "low-emissions/fuel-efficient/green" spots are so arbitrary, unenforceable, debatable, and pointless. Compared to a car from 10 or 20 years ago, a 4 BW probably is low-emissions, and compared to a...
Wait, I thought the 4s went up by $1k or $1,500, no? If so, the 5s went up by $7k for MY23 plus another $500 I think in destination charge. Should I expect a big fat check? I ordered from Sewell in December 2021 and received a MY23 and definitely had to pay more.
Just noticed my doors don't align well at all. Some pretty Tesla-esque quality here, and a bit embarrassing now that I see it.
Is this something the dealer can adjust? Also, is anyone else's center steering wheel stripe also kind of not straight? Bugs me when it's starting me straight in the face.
Just judging from pictures, functionally I don't think there's going to be a paradigm shift. I think it's mostly just the two screens fused into one housing, which with other megascreens is often just two screens linked together anyway. It may very well operate similarly to how they do now.
x2. I appreciate that the interface is quick, responsive, and reasonably easy to navigate. I'd take this kind of function over form ANY day, and I appreciate the hard buttons for HVAC and other items. In my old Civic Type R, waiting 20sec for the screen to boot up just so I can turn on the A/C...
You mention ZL1 and Z06 failures at low miles - have there been more failures at higher miles, like 10k, 20k, 40k, 60k? Just wondering if it's something where if you make it past say 5k-10k miles, you should be good?
I just got my '23, so not eager to pay $9k in sales tax again for a mild update. However, if they make them through MY25 or MY26 I might pick one up to restart the odometer at 0 since that will truly be the last of the ICE manual super sedans.
Based on the other updated Cadillac interiors, I do...
I'm at 2 weeks and 400 miles. Let's call this the initial pre-break-in list.
Turning radius is pitiful. Constant annoyance when parking and maneuvering. Thank goodness for all the awesome cameras.
No option for audible blind spot alert. Most cars make a sound or at least have that option, but...
Sometimes they dumb things down so people don't get frustrated. Good example: My 2001 M5 was the first car with the super cool (at the time) variable redline that started at 4k rpm when cold and gradually opened up to the 7k redline as the engine got warm. Trouble is, they linked it to water...
