I believe the article in question said GM would provide carbon fiber for Blackwings that needed replacements due to damage.
That being said, I think its terrible business to punish customers trying to give you money because you couldn't provide the product they originally wanted, whether its...
I mean, to be fair, that's probably the case with 95% of the people getting OEM carbon as well. Few people will drive the car at its limits where the aero will do much, if anything.
It's an option on the builder, but it doesn't seem to do anything in the preview adding or removing. My guess is that car you are interested has it. I think someone on here mentioned awhile back that it wasn't on their order and it still came with it.
Yeah all I had was decat on mine as well. Honestly I loved my Evora, but I just never drove it much since my son was born a couple years ago. Someday I will get a sports or supercar again, but for now I am hoping the Blackwing gives me something engaging enough to drive that I can also pick my...
That is true, but I come from the Lotus car community where 1000 is a lot of cars in a year and there is still an after market for those cars. Some of which that are carbon parts that are way more complex than anything on the Blackwings.
That being said there also may be more of a desire for...
@V_G_M_3pedalonly I agree with @SOP if it truly is going to be a big problem for you not getting it then I would wait, especially if a possible price increase won't dissuade you.
Honestly I was kind of in that mindset when I first ordered in October because I wasn't in a hurry at all. So I...
I mean it is kind of goofy, I am sure they have their reasons for doing it this way, but you shouldn't be punished by what dealer you select. When your dealer puts in an order for a car it should put you into the end of the queue with manufacturer, not the dealer, and as cars get made you move...
Lol, well sure, but most likely that is a relatively sort term issue (hopefully). I don't think he is talking about immediate depreciation, but long term. I am not saying I agree with him. I would never buy a car assuming it would hold value or appreciate.
I was in the same dilemma. The wait wasn't my concern, but the possible 2023 price increase was.
Maybe the price won't go up, but I find it hard to believe it won't go up some. So even if its 5% I would be paying an extra $5k plus tax extra for a 2023. Without the carbon the car is almost $10k...
That's why I was confused. Seems TPW should come before EDD. That's why I was wondering if it is good or bad. lol There are currently only 3 people on the list with EDD that are not either DELAYED or blank.
The dealer did tell me they expected my TPW to be late March or early April. Maybe my...
My status was just updated to 3000 with an EDD of 03/28/2022, but no TPW seems only a few people actually have EDD on their status, so I am unsure if that's good or bad.
They talk about it around 7:50 mark. For those who aren't interested in watching Dave Kinney says he does not think the CT5-V Blackwing in manual will depreciate much if at all.
