OEM fluids are pricey these days. I ordered fluids from Rockauto for the 4BW rear diff and my truck's transfer case. It was $190 for 4 quarts (2 each). The Mopar fluid was more expensive.
Is there any washer or thread sealant needed for these plugs? From searching, I see that the torque spec is 50Nm.
I purchased a 14mm hex socket for my truck's rear diff years ago. I believe it will work on this diff.
I haven't looked yet. Just trying to plan out the build for the future. I've been busy with my son's baseball tournaments every weekend. I hope to get some time in July.
I put the ZL1 lift pads on the front, but not the back. I have seen people on Facebook put them on the back as well. It is probably fine, but the recommended jack point in the back is the brace. See below...

I'm not a big fan of the front plate law in Texas. I don't run one either, but I have gotten pulled over twice specifically for no front plate (previous car). Both times were warnings.
I have searched for variable voltage on GMs. It looks like the Silverado trucks have it. It might be on these as well. I know it can cause issues.
I'm having issues with the Variable Voltage on my wife's car (Nissan Pathfinder). It will randomly kill the battery and Nissan says the battery...
It looks like the Mobil 1 Extended Performance is thinner than the regular Mobil 1 (10.15 vs 10.8). Have you tried both? I feel like a thicker oil would be better.
