    2024 MY Cadillac CT4-V / CT5-V Blackwing - What's New!

I'll get an "Off Duty" sign for my roof. The only thing better than yellow would've been a metallic purple. I kinda hope they mess up the front end refresh for my wallets sake.

    2024 MY Cadillac CT4-V / CT5-V Blackwing - What's New!

Sigh...now I have to figure out how to convince the wife to let me swap for a Cyber Yellow...is Cyber Yellow metallic at all? IT's METALLIC!!! I'm dead. I'd also need to see the redesigned interior/front end to make a decision. I won't be a fan if physical buttons are now in the touchscreen...

Yep, no more Jennifer Koch. I emailed her to get an update and someone else called me to take care of it.

    Jacking up your Blackwing

I think ramps or the 6000 series Quickjacks are gonna be the way to go. Or a second jack as suggested earlier. My drivers side door has a small creak when opening it now which, I'm assuming, is from some twist of the unibody during my admittedly shoddy lifting? Haven't had time to pinpoint the...

What did you do to your Blackwing today?

Do you know what weight oil they filled it with? If they filled it too low, because they didn't realize it was a Blackwing, they may have used the wrong oil. Even if what they just added was the correct 0W-40 stuff, what about the other 5-6 quarts that the lube tech originally put in?

What did you do to your Blackwing today?

At the very least they need to complete a new oil change. There is no telling what grade of oil you have in there.

What did you do to your Blackwing today?

A CT5 V (non-Blackwing) calls for 5W-30 and a different filter - PF63. Blackwing needs 0W-40 and a PF64 filter per the manual. Make them do it again. You can't be sure at this point.

    Tire Sizes Question

It makes sense to provide more tire choice but, and I mean no offense by this, you stating that it was not due to fitment does not make it factual. Until I know that you work for Apex or have it in writing, I can only take this as an opinion, since it isn't presented as a fact by Apex. Nothing...

What did you do to your Blackwing today?

That sucks. I have major trust issues so I always do my own maintenance, and I even work for a dealer. Stuff happens, but at least if I mess something up I know I did my best and it wasn't due to negligence. Hopefully they make it right for you.

    Tire Sizes Question

I just figured that the choice to step up to 285 on the 20" setup would be due to the wheel being 10.5" wide with a 15mm offset, vs the 10" wide, 20mm offset 19" setup. Either way, Apex doesn't say in their guide why they picked a 275 for their 19" wheel vs a 285, and the camber for the 20" is...

    CT4 4BW Test drive impressions

There is a V-Club drag race on Sunday at Texas Motorplex...I was going to compete but its a long drive from San Antonio to get there for check-in etc. My dealership network is a sponsor. (I also need to change my diff fluid first and I'm waiting for the correct bit to get delivered...) Anyway...

    Tire Sizes Question

Sorry but I still don't see it? For 19" wheels I see they have 275 as the front tire. Here's what Wheelsize.com's calculator says when swapping from Apex's 19" 275 front wheel fitment to the 20" 285 fitment: "Suspension clearance: The Same" But here's what happens on a 19" when you size up to...

    Tire Sizes Question

I am gonna muddy the waters, but the Apex fitment guide shows their staff pick tire for the front as a 275 for 19" wheels and they suggest camber changes for the 20" wheel and tire packages (I assume to clear fenders but don't know for sure).

    Tire Sizes Question

I had read that the OEM tires are pretty maxxed out already. The OEM Michelins even remove the lip protector on the inside of the tire to get clearance. I'd love to know if more tire can be stuffed in there but I'd need to see it. The Drive - Blackwing Wheel and Tire Article "Grebovic drew...

    Spring Mountain Impressions

Someone finally called to confirm my dates and information! Turns out the person I had been working with is no longer with Spring Mountain. That may have been a part of my issue. I'll be staying off-site in town and can't wait! Gonna be hot though in Aug. I think the wife will likely be hanging...

    Data Video Card

I prefer to use AndroidAuto/Apple Carplay. The built-in Nav will show up on the HUD and gauge cluster, but I rarely find that useful. The phone is always up to date, shares traffic info, and I am already paying for it so why pay again if I don't have to?
