Here is my report from my 1,500 mile oil change. I did not change the filter at this time and plan to change the oil again at 5,000 miles or when the oil life meter tells me , whichever comes first.
I have great luck with Turtle Wax Ceramic Polish and Wax. On top of that I had been using Turtle Wax Spray Ceramic (once the first layer cured) but now I'm using 303 Ceramic Spray and Rinse on top, which works exceptionally well. As a drying aid I use Turtle Wax Wax & Dry. This is what works for...
I originally wanted ACC or ideally SuperCruise. I have a long commute and I thought I wanted to do less driving in that type of situation. What happened was the opposite.
Since switching to a manual I get less drowsy during the drive and "zone out" less, the time seems to pass quicker because...
Yeah, that was me. If I needed to get all wheels up, I would've used the rear subframe at the rear of the diff after getting the front on stands. For oil changes I plan to use ramps going forward.
For tire rotations and brake work I will probably use the front jacking points and figure out an...
My boss says if I'm getting good gas mileage I'm using it wrong.
I have been averaging 17 according to the gauges. Mix of stop & go, short suburb driving, and highway. CT5 V Blackwing 6M. Not bad considering the capabilities.
The manual says to change after every 24 hours of racing/competitive driving, so I would just keep track of your on-track hours and change it once they get to 24.
Does brake dust and tire browning count? Haven't washed her in a couple weeks. The dirtier she gets, the harder I drive, so I tend to put it off if I can...
I'm happy enough having a "serviceable" paintjob. Its suitable for purpose on a track ready hooligan mobile. I am disappointed that the quality isn't better, but I knew about the paint quality before I decided to buy. A mild correction (done on my own) took care of most of the issues and left me...
You could look for one in a junkyard maybe and get that piece individually? I thing you can cannibalize any CT5 and it should fit. Looks like a pita to fix though. Rivets, etc.
Bondo and a vinyl wrap?
The bottom plug was clean and I didn't check to see if it was magnetic, unfortunately. The fill amount is 1.37 qts, but the maintenance instructions say to fill until fluid is equal with the bottom of the fill plug. Once fluid started to come out of the fill plug I closed it up. Based on what I...
The ATS and CT4 sedans aren't bad in the rear seats. I'm 6ft and I fit well enough, but that's also dependent on how tall the driver and front passenger are. I was actually surprised that it was livable.
The ATS coupe however, is truly a 2 seater in size.
Our dealership is Ken Batchelor Cadillac in San Antonio TX. We are part of the Sewell Automotive Companies. We currently have a radiant red manual with natural tan interior and a midnight steel metallic manual with sky cool grey interior. I'm not in sales, but if either sounds interesting, give...
