just an update looks like I will be able to get a $1k credit from the dealer and take the car as is. not the ideal situation but looking forward to having the car.
Yeah, I have opened a claim with Cadillac as well. The funny thing is Cadillac says it's all been resolved since they offer to fix it and free service. I informed the rep that the offer to fix it is no longer on the table since the body shop won't make the repair supposedly.
That's what I am going to ask for. A new bumper is probably $400 (cost to them) and the labor and paint would be similar to repair the bumper. Interesting I called the dealer's body shop and they do fill in the holes about $1000... so don't know what to believe now.
If I don't sign the...
Okay so the dealer won't fix it because they said their body shop won't fix it.. this is a buck of nonsense. They offered me a $500 discount which I don't think would even cover the repair. I haven't signed for anything yet, but they are pressuring me to take possession of the car.
Yeah, I waited too long for this car.. and it's one of the initial 250.. so I would like to take delivery of it but not 100% there yet. I am trying to get the dealer to fix it first before taking delivery but it might not be that easy. The manager already said it's not going to be 100% but...
Forget about moving to texas.. would love to.. its more affordable for sure... but I would have to get used to the humidity.. it's crazy to think that a dealer would ask a customer if it's okay to drill holes in a $100k car. My dealer is saying it's required, but the only thing that is required...
Glad I can save other people from the misery I have to go through.. Now the dealer wants to complete the paperwork before the repair is made.. and has a disclaimer that it might not be 100%..
I am pissed but my options are so limited... and I really like the car.. I know it seems minor but when your spec'ing out a new car you shouldn't have to go through this. I would figure it's common sense now..
yeah, they have to do a PDI and according to my dealer at least wash it to verify the paint.. unfortunately, the service dept and sales department don't talk to each other.. so while I said no wash no plates.. it didn't work... I have seen some cars that have the holes filled and painted...
yeah I am really upset.. the GM even said that there is only one tech who can PDI the car and he won't be in till next week.. so when I heard the car was PDI and plate installed last night I was upset. The GM said the dealership always installs it on every car so they don't get sued.. I...
Hello, my ct5v-Blackwing wasn't going to be PDI till next week so I told the salesperson no front plate.. only to find out that the PDI was done late last night and the front plate was installed. The sales guy confirm they drilled two screws (looks like lag bolts) through the front bumper. I...
hello, my dealer in so cal just got my Blackwing in and it had 36 miles on it. Seems a bit high but I do know it had to go to storage then to rail then to the truck. I see many with 7-8 miles, so wondering if it depends on where you are?
