Took these in my garage so the lighting isn't the greatest but you can see what I mean about them being mirrors.
Just something I noticed because a simple google search doesn't return anything similar as far as how "shiny" they look. I don't know.
This wasn't specifically after they detailed it. The CCB's have been like this since I bought the car. I'm at work but when I get home I'll take a picture of them. I've put over 2k miles on the car and they haven't changed how they look from the day I picked up the car at the dealership.
I hear so many people making comparisons to the E39 M5. I never got a chance to drive one. Maybe I need to see how good they were. I love the way they look and the V8 sounds so good (at least in Youtube videos). Now I'm curious.
So I've seen dozens of pictures and videos of CCB's and I've never really seen ones as shiny as the ones that we have, normally they're rather dull and "matte" in finish.
Anyone ever seen them like this? Just a random thought I had after my car was detailed I noticed they're literal mirrors...
I have a Lexus IS350 I daily but I have taken my Blackwing to work a couple of times. My work drive is 75 miles one way and consists of 90% highway driving, thankfully I work hybrid and right now my schedule allows me to only have to be in the office one day a week. There is ALWAYS at least 30...
Debadged, Tint, PPF and ceramic coated.
The doggo approves. :giggle:
Sucks she's all cleaned up and I can't drive it due to an incoming storm. Guess I'll just have to wait a few days 😞
I was going to say the same thing. I am just sitting here wondering why he isn't using carplay/android auto.
Maybe I'm confused as well. It is early morning and I only just started drinking my coffee
I just want an epic driving experience, which the BW delivers. BUT the annoyance of all the electronics does get to me sometimes. It's not only with the BW but every single other car out these days.
I'm still tempted to pick up an E92 M3 or E60 M5 MT just for that more raw driving experience...
are you referring to the rev counter in the instrument panel? I've seen that menu. I like how it lists how many hours the engine has on it. Reminds me of how they show the age of engines in boats.
Just dropped mine off to get full PPF and tint. I was planning on only doing front but someone already tagged my lower rear bumper (literally only had the car 3 days). So that's getting fixed and I'm not going to chance some other idiot putting a mark on the car. So going full PPF instead...
Having driven my car 2k miles now. My 2nd gear is a bit notchy when it's cold. After driving a mile or two, it becomes buttery smooth. I bought the car with 17k miles on it.
If it gets worse the car is certified so I'll take it in to get it checked out and fixed. Hopefully lol
Man I'm super curious now. I just can't see that little plate offering up too much sound deadening? I guess it sits right above the open area so maybe.
