    4BW died at 1500 miles

It is likely something pretty simple and not likely an indication the car is a lemon. With all the electronics in todays cars and the high level of electrical integration between various subsystems, a very minor issue (loose connection, damaged wire, bad sensor, low battery voltage, etc.) can...

    CT4-V Curb Rash

I'm very sorry to hear that. Nothing is more frustrating than curb rash on wheels.

    CT4-V Curb Rash

Never, EVER, make statements like that. You just tempt the bad karma gods, lol.

    HVAC Issues

I take the car in on Monday. They are giving me a loaner and said I should plan on a couple of weeks. The service guy told me that he had been expecting me to call, lol. The Gent with the 5BW that brought his car in with AC issues the same day I did originally brought his back a few weeks...

    HVAC Issues

I spoke too soon, lol. The A/C quit working again today. I'll call the dealer tomorrow for an appointment.

    Spring Mountain Impressions

Same here. Made contact with SM in late March.

    HVAC Issues

Update: After 5 weeks, the A/C is working perfectly, and blows significantly colder than it did after the initial recharge. I think the full evac and fill did the trick. I did a 1300 mile road trip in the car last weekend and it kept us perfectly cool in 85F weather. I'll still be keeping an...

What is everyone's go-to wheel cleaner??

I tried Sonax and wasn't a huge fan. I used Adam's green wheel cleaner for many years with good results but it would sometimes struggle with really dirty wheels. I recently have been using Chemical Guys Citrus Sticky Wheel Gel. It clings to the wheel and really suds up nicely when you agitate...

What did you do to your Blackwing today?

Drove the car on a 1300 mile round trip over the weekend to see the Indycar race at Barber Motorsports Park near Birmingham, AL. I doubled the mileage on the car, lol. It's now fully broken in. What a wonderful road trip car.

Is this a "leave well-enough alone" situation?

That is absolutely not acceptable. If the dealer can't fix it, they need to contact Cadillac and make it right.

    My current rodeo

That it does! Even with the break in limiter, I'm sure it feels amazing to you. Also, I'm sure by now you've been amazed by how good radiant red looks in the sun. The name is appropriate. I'm right at 1300 miles now. I still haven't taken it to redline and I'm still granny shifting when I...

Congrats, Man! Did you get it on Saturday or are you picking it up now?

    The Blackwing Spotting Thread

I made many a lap of the TRC oval back in the day doing vehicle testing. 100 mph on the oval feels much like 25 mph through a neighborhood. There's zero drama. Doing laps of the oval in our BW's would be epic.

    The Blackwing Spotting Thread

My neighbor has a 5V non-BW. I see it every day. Does that count?

    The Blackwing Spotting Thread

In my experience, there are ALWAYS a lot of cops along I-75 in Ohio, lol.

    My current rodeo

I figured either Camargo or Jeff Wyler in Fairfield. I didn't realize that Sweeney could order a Cadillac seeing as how they don't have a Cadillac dealership that I'm aware of.

    My current rodeo

Congrats! Keep us posted on the progress. Since I'm from that area -- which dealer are you using?

    HVAC Issues

They did. No sign of leaks at all, and that's what has me a bit nervous. That indicates to me that the leak site is most likely somewhere inside the car, which means that the dash has to come out to find it.

    HVAC Issues

The dealer did a leak test and found nothing. They also reached out to Cadillac's Tech Assistance line for help in troubleshooting, but they still couldn't resolve the issue. Obviously, there has to be a really slow leak somewhere since this has happened twice, but they weren't able to find...

    HVAC Issues

The car is at the dealership today being diagnosed. Interestingly enough, there was another gentleman there with a 5V BW. He bought his car last Saturday and had it at the dealer this morning because ... the AC wasn't working.
