I would assume that means the digital gauge has a very low redline, but no associated rev limiter; and at 500 miles on the odometer the redline moves up to the 'true' redline approximately where the rev limiter sits.
Given it doesn't come with backseat pockets- does anyone know if the seatback organizer will fit the CF seats?
My gut says the hole at the top is designed to require removal of the headrest to install, so... no. But, I thought I'd ask some of the sage Caddy folks on here.
Interesting- at typical 15K annual mileage, that puts the annual savings for a Tesla over a generic 25 MPG ICE as about $1,200/yr. That's a lot less than gets bandied around by the electric car crowd and the Elon fanboys...
Back on topic- I'd agree with MCG. I'd look at what you can absorb if...
Wish I could afford 2- I really want the Blaze with all the CF, bronze brakes and wheels, etc... but my desire to quietly daily drive unnoticed means I'm doing Satin Steel with as few outward indications that this isn't grandpa's Caddy as possible. 🤫
I did, and Caddy's been working with Michelin for quite a while to develop platform specific tires.
Not sure if they still do the travelling events, but years ago I attended a Caddy track day down in Houston. One of the 'commercials' we got as part of the track training, went into some detail...
I guess I've just never seen a regular tire referred to as a "stop flat'- it's just a tire.
I was very impressed with the tire tech presentation when I went to the CTS-V driving event back in 2012, and I can only imagine the advances in the last decade. The explanation of how the bands are...
It's not really an AWD/RWD issue- the stability system looks at a ton of variables, from brake/throttle/steering position, wheel spin, g-forces, etc. in order to decide what to do. The system will make all sorts of changes beyond just energizing the shock fluid- it'll retard throttle, add...
I don't see how the system is capable of knowing how big the wheels are. I will say that as long as the Front/Rear ratio remains the same, a slight variance in the speedo should be the only impact. I've gone up a size over on my tires and the car didn't seem to notice. Been running 255/285 on my...
Per the order guide:
Tires, 275/35ZR19 front, 305/35ZR19 rear, high-performance, summer-only, stop-flat
Unless these are some sort of new self-sealing tech, I assumed these were some variant of the Pilot Sport 4S ZP.
Sounds like he's old-school... ;)
I'm ordering Satin, standard wheels, no CF. If they're all mounted without centering holes, I'm seriously considering a V-badge delete. As close as I can get to a sleeper sedan.
Cool, thanks! I continue to be confused about the no charge front splitter thing. It looks like it might have to do with airflow associated with the transmission cooler maybe? Seems plausible.
Also noticed it still has that same typo my old copy has...
Transmission, 6-speed manual

I don't work in the auto industry, but I have worked in enough other ones to build a fairly good understanding of how manufacturing and business work.
As a rule, I can't see spending 6-figures on a depreciating asset that doesn't check some very specific boxes. Assuming this whole thing works...
Just my 2 cents, but perhaps some expectation management is in order. Three things come to mind:
-This is not a bespoke supercar from a performance-oriented builder who's product line generally demands a price premium just for the name, it's a minor trim line off a standard model from one of the...
So, this is where the 4/5 thing matters- I believe the top end 4 seats have a 'quilted' pattern on the main seating surfaces, while the mid-range (suede backs, not carbon fiber) is quilted in the 5s.
