    Determining Collector Series Blackwings

I had the button available to get one of the original 250, then watched it change to the waitlist link. I could have grabbed one if I'd better understood what I was signing up for. I didn't want some special edition car- I just wanted a car. Like I said, when Ford went live with their First...

    Determining Collector Series Blackwings

The way I read the wait list blurb; you were waiting for one of the first 250 buyers to drop out. I assumed (wrongly, it seems) that the initial 250 'collector series' would have been some set of options unavailable to the rest of us mouth breathers- something akin to Ford's 'First Edition'...

The First Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing in Dark Emerald Frost

I don't really want to have an economic debate here, but basically: We have currency for a reason, and that reason is the exchange of goods. "Purchase requirements" are a way for companies to muddy the water of the purchase and hide additional cost/profit elements. Normalizing activities that...

What are your thoughts on ordering without CF? I'm thinking about dropping the seats, if that will change anything. I'm just not sure it will make a difference, given the way the allocation system seems to work.

As a rule I avoid things that Metastasize, and they won't even let you look without becoming part of the problem. I guess I'll stick to the pictures posted here.

Fun fact: If you go to the V-Series eBrochure, choose a CT5-V (not a BW) from the 360 viewer, then choose the Sedona interior; you'll get an interior view of the pano roof.

    ct4 v blackwing rear wing

Early on in my SS's life someone appears to have used my trunklid to set their grocery bag on while they dug out their keys or something... Probably a standard paper sack loaded with something fairly heavy. Nice set of swirl marks in the clearcoat that are just deep enough to never quite go...

Now I'm very confused- so these numbers are more like 'free allocation' beyond the current plan? Because that suggests that they may be building cars with CF seats or CF2 packages, even if the number listed here is 0%. Is that possible?

2022 CT5V Blackwing- need to sell, ideas?

Not in the BW section. If you back out to the main forum, there's a page.

Site Update: Official Cadillac CT4-V and CT5-V Blackwing Registry

Caught up? I'd say you've exceeded it. ;) (Isn't the rate of production a couple hours every other Wednesday?)

    Allocations

I guess what I'm asking is does the dealer have any control over which orders are accepted. Say a dealer has an order ABC001 and order ABC200 sitting at 1100. Given that they're alphanumerically timecoded, 001 was placed earlier than 200. If the dealer gets an allocation, does the first order...

    Allocations

Sketchy, but I could see the argument that if you don't buy, they're paying to floor it until it sells and there's probably a decent percentage of those orders that don't close as planned.

    Allocations

Anyone know if dealers have control over order sequencing? i.e., say I was 'next' on their list based on order number, could the dealer bypass my order and give the allocation to someone who ordered later? Not that I think that's happened, but I'm curious just how much control the dealers have.

I don't miss much from TX, but there's just nothing quite like Buc-ee's.

I see the weekly allocation is single digits, but could that change? I don't know enough about how GM manages parts inventory. I assume the engine guys are churning out powerplants, but are they stockpiling the various BW specific parts or building them to use? I guess I'm asking: assuming the...

CT5-V Flutter/Vibration Under Power and low boost

    Because it's a Cadillac? Or because it's a Blackwing?

    Insurance Quotes

Probably because the rate has very little to do with the cost of the vehicle, plus the likelihood that whatever part is vehicle-specific is already averaged out over some assumed amortization schedule (based on an expected ownership period).
  20. RupertH

    Allocations

You bring up a valid point- maybe they got cars because they spec'd them in a way that absolutely no actual buyer of the vehicle would... sort of the dictionary definition of an inventory manager, right? ;)
