Finally got an update on the shipping tracker and to my surprise it looks like my car moved to the railyard even though my dealership is less than 100 miles from the plant.
Do they pickup for trucking at the railyard as well? Doesn't seem to make sense to move it in the interim...
I am LOVING this color from this one, shitty pic. Not even kidding. It almost looks gray? I think it will look different in a variety of lighting. Very exciting
My new "wacky" theory for why my build hasn't been delivered is that even though it's local (dealer <100 miles from the plant). They still wait for a full truck and that is taking forever because most are going to the rail yard for out of state shipping. Not a lot of CT5/CT4/Camaros staying...
@sykostek I see you've changed to 4D00 which I believe means on hold for QC. Mine did not change to that, but both our Dark Em. builds were the same day (presumably mine first). Have you heard anything from your dealer?
Pretty disappointed in the lack of an EDD for my car. Not optimistic about taking delivery prior to Thanksgiving and it's starting to get really cold in Michigan. 😢
I previously wrote in this thread about how I had not discussed ADM with my dealer and was just hoping for the best.
Looks like I was fortunate! They emailed me that my car was shipping and the topic of financing came up and they said "There are no incentives for this car, but fortunately we...
I live less than 100 miles from the assembly plant and my dealer said transport from there is usually 10 days. Not having to go rail should make my life easier.
I'm at 3400 now with a TPW of 11/01 and my dealer emailed me today letting me know the update. We have not talked details on ADM since I placed the order in July. Would it be relatively safe to assume that I will not get bait and switched when I go to the dealership to take delivery? I also...
I'm not sure - like I said, I think color might have to do something with it. My theory is they probably paint all the Emerald Frost BWs in the same 3 week span or something since it is a special process, so even though I only put my deposit down in July, they pulled my order way ahead of others...
No, you can, but it has to be a matte PPF which basically means you could've just gotten regular paint and added it on. XPEL Stealth is one of the options for that. They also make ceramic clear coatings that are matte friendly.
I am curious though if one added a matte PPF to just the front...
