They (Fitment Industries) were kind enough to reach out to confirm they were backordered and that there was no anticipating restocking date. I thanked them and told them I was just going to stay the course and wait.
I guess 265/35/18 is not a very popular winter tire size.
I saw videos of 4BW's doing the BRAP BRAP on acceleration runs and was wondering why mine wasn't doing it, before I realized that this was likely the reason.
Well unfortunately for me, I saw the post that the Pilot Alpin's in the appropriate size for the 4BW were available, but dithered for a week or two before ordering them. I think the 255's are shipping but the 265's are on backorder. Hope this resolves itself before winter comes, but that feels...
I'm surprised this one failed to meet reserve (whatever it was) while the lower-spec almost-stripper model that sold on cars and bids a few weeks back sold for at least a few thousand over sticker.
Correction: That one on cars and bids have like a 66k sticker and sold for 74k
I saw someone here had a V license plate frame, and I was like "I wanna get me one of these for when I mount my front plate."
First I found was this...
I actually sent an inquiry to Hawk through their website earlier asking if they planned on making something for the 4BW.
You aren't kidding, either, my wheels were straight brown in less than 3 days.
Gonna keep an eye on this thread, the amount of brake dust is INSANE! When I had my miata I swapped in some ceramic pads and the reduction in dust was significant, hoping for a similar option for the 4BW in the future.
I wasn't concerned about it, it was just kind of an obvious fail. I've actually stalled it myself a couple of times, and ground 1st gear once for at least some reason. I attribute it to getting acclimated to the car.
I learned to drive stick on a 2000 Mustang V6 Convertible. I bought the car...
Update: got the shipping blocks removed. Kid then drove my car out of the service bay and promptly stalled the car right in front of me, smh...
On the plus side, the squeaking is gone and the front suspension doesn't feel so much like an oxcart now.
They do! Go on their website and get a quote (Sell Your Car | ALGO) and then they'll text and call and email and bother you to get in touch. It's annoying but temporary, since I got a quote from them some months back and didn't sell at the time since the new car hadn't come in yet
