I don't think whoever did the swap ever posted follow-up info on the site. Brake temps/wear/pedal feel/overheat warnings are all controlled by an algorithm. It's very different for iron vs CCB.
CCB swaps are common in the Porsche world, but it's folks who pull off the CCB's and put on iron for...
The Cup2R isn't available in our rear size. And TR doesn't have the TPC version of the PS4S (for pricing comparison). Keep in mind the initial orders of the Precision Package come with the standard tires. It says the Cup2R 'may be offered' at a later date.
Yes. The CCB pads are completely different compound.
Since the BW is 'brake by wire' you also need to tell the computer you are running carbon vs iron rotors. It's not simply a mechanical swap.
I must confess I was shopping for an all-weather car since the move to Denver. Really wanted a 5N. But price/markup is nuts around here. Got a WRX TR instead.
Get a OBDII port reader. Pretty cheap on Amazon.
DO NOT DRIVE THE CAR
Get back on the phone with the service department and RAISE HELL. Your ~$100k car is undrivable and telling you to wait 9 days is unacceptable. Tow it to the dealer ASAP and sit in their face until they give you a rental car...

SPL has now even updated the product description to include the CT5 Blackwing.
Thoughts?
I’d be willing to trade my ‘23 for a ‘25 with this package.

With much sadness, I kinda had to give up on this one.
I had a custom 'hidden' hitch that Leroy Engineering made me for the Camaro. He doesn't make hitches any longer. Still makes amazing trailers, tho.
I haven't been able to find anything that will work. It would have to be a completely...
Folks, the BW/C8 brakes are not a conventional hydraulic system. They are brake by wire. The brake pedal is a potentiometer. Messing with the braking system without the ability to tell the computer what is going on is a recipe for disaster.
The C7 CCBs are NOT the BW CCBs even if the physical...
2nd event (for me) running with the Rocky Mountain Solo group of the SCCA.
Abnormally hot day in Denver (hit 101F). As you can see in the video, it was a tight, ES-style course. Not a lot of room to throw my BW5 around. Also getting used to being down on power due to altitude.
Running on...
I can't speak to the BW4, but I ran a couple of other turbo platforms in Orlando and 135F is not a high IAT for this time of year. You'll notice them high at idle (traffic, stop lights, etc) and should come down when on the move.
