    Spring Mountain Impressions

They use two cars for that exercise and on my turn the 5 happen to be the open seat in my group so. Interestingly enough the blue group, which seems to be the quicker group, was compose of mostly CT4 owners. We only had one CT5 guy in our group. The green and red groups were pretty evenly split.

    Spring Mountain Impressions

All I know is they asked us not to. The braking aggressively and activating the ABS is also cleared by GM lawyers but it's much harder on the car than normal braking, resulting in increased wear on the whole system. That's the one area the number 41 disappointed me, it had a lot of judder in...

    Spring Mountain Impressions

Same here, I was told not to do it anymore either, after doing it for the 3rd to 4th shift on the main straight. They explained that NLS is great but it's hard on the car. Most of our street cars will never see WOT or an occasional track day once a month, where as there cars are on track WOT...

    Ct4v blackwing or ct5v

The CT5 V is great car, but it really isn't in the same class as the CT4V BW. The CT5 platform is a more a mid/full-size touring car, made for four full-size adults in comfort over long distances. The CT5 V is a very sporty touring car, in the same category as the Stinger GT , Porche Panamera...

    Spring Mountain Track Times

5/4/2023 Temps: 61F Track Eastloop Car: CT4 M6 Group: Blue Best time 1:21.4 AutoX: 32.25 ( Champ) AutoX was fun but the new layout was super slippery and everyone struggles for grip. So there was a ton of tail wagging fun.

    Spring Mountain Impressions

Day 1 done, lots of fun. Rooms are nicer than out rooms at TI and Ceasars. Food is better than expected. The CT4 is stupid capable on track. I did the wet figure 8s in a CT5 and the power is addictive but I can definitely tell it doesn't turn in as well.

CT4-V Windshield Replacement Woes (Don't be like Me)

I joined to chipped winshield club today! They're putting in an overpass and toll lanes near my house. So there are concrete and gravel bombs everywhere. Getting on a curving on ramp a truck got me, the car ahead of me and a Range Rover that was behind me when he appeared to either drop a...

    Driving Shoes Recommendations

Wow, I'm ashamed to say I just throw on a pair of Adidas Stans Smiths, or Sambas or Superstars depending on what else I have going on for the rest of the day. I guess the wide feet and no Nikes is really a thing because I can't were them either.

Blackwing Order Tracking - 2023 Model Year

I like to think based on the folks I've met on here and in person, Blackwing buyers are not typical buyers to begin with. Unfortunately SOME dealers keep hanging on to a certain notion of what will sell, not realizing that what might make a CT4/5 premium, or luxury an attractive buy, simply...

Tapout CT4-V Blackwing Carbon Fiber Intake Test Results

I will definately be up for a version 2 IF it doesnt throw CELs. Once the car is out of warranty maybe even version 1 as the look is just sick. The issue for me was the "lean condition Bank 2" that was a concern as opposed to the EVAP and MAF related codes. The extra ponies are very nice...

Camaro dead in 2024 - Blackwing next?

I'm almost certain there will be a 7th Gen Camaro. Whether it will be ICE or EV is the question. As for Blackwings, the CT platform is doing OK, the CT5 appears to be the breakout winner. So the 5BW maybe around a bit longer may be out to 26? The CT4 on the other hand, doesn't seem to be...

    Question For Cadillac Engineers

The old CTS-V and then ATS-V.R cars were a blast to watch in GT3/GTD. The LF4 comes directly from that car! Its actually kind of crazy when you consider that race car made close to 600hp at the crank, and the engines would only last a racing season. We have essentially the same equipment in a...

LF4 Engine Oil Temperatures and Type

It really depends on how you run the car. I have yet to develop full trust in the oil life monitoring for street duty, but it seemed pretty close for more aggressive driving. My oil was NOT horrible at 30%, but it was ready for a change. I'm not totally sure how it calculates oil life but...

LF4 Engine Oil Temperatures and Type

Supercar seems fine so far. I like the idea of it being able to handle a couple of trackdays and street duty. I don't know that track alignment is really worth the money for casual track pace. If you're in need of every tenth and you're going to push it, sure. But just for fun, the street car...

CT4 V BW locking fuel door?

I'm pretty sure they didn't add the locking fuel door back to the 4BW. If their self stated philosophy was that everything had to earn its way back onto the BW, I don't see them adding things like electric trunk lift or locking fuel doors to safe weight.

I thought about jb4 but you really should change the spark plugs with it and frankly for a person with large hands it socks trying to get to the two rear cylinders. And they will need replacement more often. I love how it looks.
