    Spring Mountain Impressions

On the config we ran they said there’s not much difference. There were only a couple places where you’d shift. I ran a car both with and without carbon ceramics and didn’t notice a difference on that track either. Now on other tracks the auto is definitely faster & I imagine the unsprung weight...

288 Miles and an engine failure

Welp guess I’ll be heavily stress testing it tomorrow at an all day track event

    Spring Mountain Impressions

Strongly recommend Carmelo’s. It’s a small Italian restaurant a short drive from the track. The pizza is pretty good, but the calzones are way better. The bruschetta & garlic bread are unreal & are must gets. They’ll also pour you normally expensive liquor very generously very cheap.

288 Miles and an engine failure

Welp, going back again. Got over 1,000 miles on the new longblock and had the dealer change the oil under warranty a few days ago. Driving home I did a full throttle run of 2nd, 3rd, & into fourth & the check engine light started flashing, which usually indicates an emissions system issue. Maybe...

    BW Paint Protection Advice

In a black car that costs this much PPF the entire thing. Just imagine if an option existed that prevented minor scratches, swirls, & stone chips while also making cleaning much easier. That option cost less than the msrp increase many faced going from a 22 to a 23

Front and Rear Parking Sensor Retrofit

The part number is 84761801. With the campaign my dealer was able to start the process of ordering. It’s on back order & they have no clue when it’ll actually come in though. Looks like it’s about a $14 part & might be available on some online parts sources.

How the Spring Mountain shop sets up their 4's

Also I highly recommend Castrol SRF. It’s expensive, but you only have to bleed once a year with it. The wet boiling point is insanely high. Takes 1.5 bottles.

How the Spring Mountain shop sets up their 4's

Almost all this info is in the owners manual. Yes you need a computer tool to fully flush 100% of fluid but you can do a standard bleed with a motive power bleeder and get out enough you’ll be more than fine. Just need to disconnect battery first. Cheapest place to buy the OEM pads/rotors is...

    Soul Performance Sport Exhaust Package

Then just have exhaust cutouts installed. Fairly simple, cheap, & easy for a local exhaust shop to do.

    CT5-V Engine Noise

The first clip sounds almost like a minor exhaust leak & the second just standard direct injector noises.

    CT5-V Engine failure

The oil life monitor is pretty sophisticated. If you don’t drive the car much the monitor may alert you to change even more frequently than 3k bc of age. At least on other engines at the performance build center (like current z06) they run on an engine dyno to check everything us working and...

Cool detail on the Track Edition

I meant red for the middle back seat. I got red belts in my 5, but the middle back seat one is black.

Cool detail on the Track Edition

Wait are only the special editions getting the red belts or all?

    CT5-V Low dust pad options?

It’s wise to. If you don’t open the doors and keep the key away you’re fine. You don’t want the start up procedure to start or else the caliper pistons will activate & with no pads inside (or your fingers inside) that would be bad.

CT5-V Finally: CT5-V Blackwing Reproduction Spoilers

you need to also put on the front splitter if you're putting on the rear for that purpose. otherwise you're gonna have the front lifting from the rear being pushed down and the front not

    CT5-V Low dust pad options?

Fwiw Gloc is basically the exact same materials as carbotech & they’ll make any custom pads for anything you want

    CT5-V Engine failure

That’s what the speculation was from the dealer. The point is that who built the engine likely has zero impact on failure rates. It’s probably going to be a part failure not something a builder messed up on whether that part is in the engine or outside the engine. There is a lot of automation...

    CT5-V Engine failure

Most major parts have scanned QR codes. Even the brake pads for that exact reason.

    CT5-V Engine failure

Well my original engine that got replaced after 4,000 miles was built by him so….
