    Paint bubbling - warranty claim?

I agree with the above comments. Almost as if focal issues with prep prevented the paint from adhering properly. Very odd.

    CT5V BW a/c

With our searing heat, I would know very quickly if the AC shut off with spirited driving and did not come back on pretty much immediately. I have never experienced this. That would be annoying. I’m interested to hear what the dealer has to say.

    Spring Mountain impressions

I’m not sure. I did not see the UTV actually moving when I would catch a glimpse of it while I was on track. I assume they don’t always stay in the same spot, but they may. They didn’t mention using a drone and no drone footage of us was shown in class to critique. Some of the classroom...

    Spring Mountain impressions

It was very surprising to me how the instructors are able to accurately assess what you are doing wrong/right just by watching how your car behaves when braking, corner entry, corner exit, how you apply throttle, etc. (Whether you hit the apex is only a small part of what they’re watching.) It’s...

    Spring Mountain impressions

Background: I am by no means a track rat, but have done a few track days in the past 20 years. I don’t abuse them, but I run my cars relatively hard and I’m not shy about approaching my talent limits in a car (which do NOT approach the car’s limits). I’ve run out of talent many times! For...

Side swiped a concrete pillar in a parking garage

As others have suggested, I wouldn’t even consider notifying your insurance company. After deductible and increased premiums for years, you will be far ahead paying out of pocket. The insurance company is not your friend. Don’t even call them to inquire. In this scenario, fortunately you...

    Blendmount Install

I gave up on the mirror tap, as there is literally no room to insert the relatively large voltmeter probe to determine which wires to tap. It was an exercise in futility and now I’m planning on having the local shop that has done all my previous dashcam work hardwire it for me. I’m done...

Any of you guys daily driving your BW?

I daily mine, with a very short commute to the office with dedicated parking spot. It will likely see road trip duty as well, given the fact it does seem to be great for highway use. Like most of you, the fact it does so much very well was one of the main reasons I bought it. I take great...

    Trunk Carpet

I don’t have any carpet in that area either, however I didn’t notice it due to the fact the finish is close to the exterior color of the car (satin steel) and does not contrast much with the existing black carpet.

    Ppf

20% all the way around. Nothing on windshield. It’s a Huper Optik/Autobahn product. No CF package.

    Ppf

Just had the tint done and PPF on the B pillars and Honda accord-esque area aft of the rear side windows. I have PPF on the full front, mirrors, rockers, and rear diffuser scheduled early next month since they need the car for almost a week. Any of the piano black areas on the car I’m concerned...

Individual tire pressure TPMS readout not standard?

Fortunately, I was simply not able to display the TPMS readings of each tire due to the fact that there were already 4 parameters displayed on the DIC from the first section of the DIC options. I could not select “tire status” until selecting/deselecting one of the other parameters such as oil...

Individual tire pressure TPMS readout not standard?

I’ve been going through the DIC and programming all my preferred settings and learning about the various features on the car. I was shocked to find that I can’t view the individual tire pressures. I read the manual, thinking it may have been part of an option package (However, I haven’t had a...

Rear view mirror plastic cover removal tips?

I ordered the Blendmount 2001R series. My specific SKU is BR7-2001R, however that specifies the specific radar detector fitment as well (Uniden R7). Your SKU will differ if you have another model radar detector.

Rear view mirror plastic cover removal tips?

Well, You’ve given me the confidence to pry harder! I’ll see how it goes. I didn’t look inside the package yet, but I’m hopeful there are several sizes for the mirror tap ends to allow for a snug fit. There never seems to be adequate room to work and when you factor in poor visualization and...

Delivery Thread - Post Pictures Here!

I’m going with Carbon Ceramic 20 all the way around with the exception of the windshield. In AZ the carbon ceramic heat rejection properties make it worth the extra money. 20% transmission cosmetically looks the best IMO.

    I’m out ✌️

I’ve been through quite a few limited production performance cars in the past couple decades and it has never been this bad as far as frenzied buying and unbelievable demand. When diesel pickups are subject to ADM, something is seriously awry. My point is, this won’t last forever. Even if...

Rear view mirror plastic cover removal tips?

In anticipation of delivery, I already hand my Blendmount radar detector mount and mirror tap. This is my third Blendmount/mirror tap install. Each one has taken longer than I would expect, but the end result has been terrific. However, with the Blackwing I aborted the mirror tap install...

Delivery Thread - Post Pictures Here!

I’ll attempt to attach an image of my satin steel that my buddy took delivery of today. Having issues with sizing the images he texted. Looks great in the pix he sent and he reports it looks better in person. Unfortunately it’s 2,000 miles away right now (long story) and I’m trying to figure...
