CT5-V Dealer damaged wheel during tire install

Sewell is awesome my dealer service department totally sucks.....they finally sourced a tpc tire for me but I had to convince them that I will be bringing the other tire back to them since I was going to get it installed elsewhere

Installing the Carbon Fiber body pieces on your own. Sorry if this has been asked already.

I could not get CF with mine but my dealer was able to source CF1 and CF2 (partial) after I got my car. I got the front splitter, rear spoiler, side skirts and front deflectors later. The only pieces I did not get were the grill trim pieces and the rear diffuser

CT5-V Dealer damaged wheel during tire install

Dealer says I drove on it for 3 weeks so now it's on me ...they are also claiming that TPC spec is not available through their distributor network.

CT5-V Dealer damaged wheel during tire install

So after seeing some of the posts on tpc vs non tpc spec tires...I just checked the tire the dealer installed and lo and behold it's a non tpc spec tire lol! I should have checked but the parts guy (whom I trusted) assured me he got the right tire as per my VIN. I already put 200 miles on the...

CT5-V Dealer damaged wheel during tire install

Good points there ...I am afraid of retribution. The sad part is I could have taken this to my Indy under warranty. Yes I am going to take it to my wheel guy

Can they save the V emblem engraved or cut into the wheel when they refinish the wheel? Maybe better off not touching the wheel

    CT5-V CF lip swap

Due to all the crap on the roads here on Long Island I am swapping in the std splitter that came with the car and removing my OEM CF lip to repair it and paint it gloss black. I also got an extra OEM CF lip from my dealer. I may end up selling the repaired CF lip painted gloss black (or may keep...

CT5-V 2024s out with BW badges on the front fenders

The main badge was painted black and then my detailer hand painted the letters white. @jwolf99 has a process he used at home which came out nice on his car.

CT5-V Dealer damaged wheel during tire install

I am almost at the point of cutting my losses and not going back to this dealer. I found out from the warranty company that I could have gone to any licensed shop for this...oh well. I really don't want them touching the car again and messing something else up.

CT5-V Dealer damaged wheel during tire install

I have to make sure this doesn't happen again ...the less number of people that touch it the better.

CT5-V Dealer damaged wheel during tire install

In my case they are going to give the wheel finishing a shot and if that doesn't come out right they will get me a new wheel. Only issue is there will be number of people touching the wheel again a few times leading to more things screwing up potentially
