Personally, I would get the 20” wheels and tires to get the look you desire plus the wheels will look killer on the car. The problem with lowering springs at older age is getting in and out of a lower vehicle as well as increased potential to scrape carbon fiber splitter. Just my $0.02.
That spec sounds perfect. Green on black/tan seats with a manual and CF1. Great find! I think you gotta find some of the factory bronze wheels as it will go so well with that color scheme. I have them on my coastal blue and it goes well together.
Definitely sign up for spring mountain class...
Given your past car history, I think you’re really going to enjoy the blackwing! What color, 6MT or auto, and any specific options you had to have? It’s gonna be a fun week for you. As for tips, are you planning any window tint or PPF?
Yesh unfortunately in Chicago you need an AWD car for those days with heavier snow (not as bad past few years though) and the RS4 with a manual transmission and V8 with 8250 rpm rev limit makes the winter commute enjoyable. It’s 17 years old but has held up pretty well despite many winters. In...
Congrats on the BW! It’s already March…I would save money and drive on summers. They work fine even in 30s…just take it easy on throttle especially when turning. I’m in Chicago and have had no problem but I do not drive in snow or on wet roads if cold.
The 5BW with ceramic brakes and sunroof delete is right at 4000 lbs. Hard to beat that these days with a sedan. I was pleasantly surprised with its handling abilities especially at Spring Mountain.
Someone posted this week that their order was accepted with cf1 and cf2 (not on constraint) so if your dealer gets an allocation AND assigns it to your order, you should get it.
Congrats! You’re going to love it. I’ve been driving mine on cold dry days 20s-30s. No problems but just be careful if wet AND cold by turning slowly with easy throttle and also when starting from a stop. Traction control will help when starting from a stop if you’re too heavy on gas. Also, roll...
Do the auto trans models come with it? Does GM assume manual trans drivers turn their head to check blind spot and use arm outside window to signal turns? That’s very odd.
That RS6 above looks awesome but I also don't have interest in a non-manual transmission car as I know it will not be as engaging to drive. I like the cayenne turbo GT also but I think it will get boring. If I were to deviate from a manual car, perhaps I would just go electric. I still have an...
Check Cadillac website for 2024 new inventory….I found 3 sunroof delete manual CT5 blackwings…all 3 happen to be coastal blue (my favorite but I’m biased). They are at west herr Cadillac, dellenbach motors, and Pasadena Cadillac. 2 of 3 are listed below msrp.
