Ok, so you are saying there are no screws currently where the deflectors are supposed to go, right (because the deflectors were supposed to be added at the dealer)?. So, put them on or have the dealer do it.
Your PDI guy ran off with the screws, apparently. Those deflectors are standard fare on the 5V non BW and should have been put on during PDI. The PN for the screws are in the pic you posted.
Probably not survivable without a seatbelt. The kid driving this was hanging unconscious by his belt when we got to him. This happened in front of my property 4 years ago.
I didn't notice this for a long time because I would mostly check the mirror light before putting on a turn signal, but if the light is on and you turn on the turn signal, the BSM light will flash. So, you get to see the turn signal light on the mirror and the BSM light both flash.
The CF has been in rotating constraint since BWs were born. Everyone ordering one has had to deal with it. Generally it is a matter of supply. GM seems to like keeping the same suppliers for quality control and to keep all the parts looking the same.
And then there is the goat factor. 🐐
