Got my order in finally... I really wanted to go 19's but am strongly considering lowering it too. My back hurts thinking what my daily ride to the office would feel like. Since my OEM tires still have a lot of life I'm going to use those first which gives me time to consider what tire is next.

I drove my BW5 home in 20F with no problems. Being that I was in break in mode there was no possibility of me stabbing the pedal as much as I wanted to. If it was snowing I would have had a harder time.

Less expensive to buy the springs. You still need to either install or have them installed($$$) and then an alignment for another couple hundy. Without doing the math, springs is still probably less. I'll let others talk about the changes in handling characteristics.
