Dash cam (for us without PDR)

Which one specifically did you use? I see a range from $95 - $500. Reading the specs I don’t see much of a difference between them honestly.

Dash cam (for us without PDR)

Thanks for the heads up. I’m going to cancel my order for the OEM. It is only 1080p clarity as opposed to 4K. Also since you have experience using the product, I’d rather use something road tested and recommend than something from the dealership.

    CT5-V CT-5 BW Noisy Engine

Got it. Good to know man. I will eventually be doing my own oil changes as I purchase the right equipment to do so (not sure why I’ve waited so long, got lazy after switching from Silverado with 6” suspension lift to coupes/sedans). Until then however I have a shop that I trust to do everything...

    CT5-V CT-5 BW Noisy Engine

Are you saying that there was insufficient quality oil used when you picked your car up originally, or that they put the wrong oil in after the first free oil change?

Dash cam (for us without PDR)

Sweet. Thanks man. I was going to go with the OEM dash cam part # 19540254. Is there a reason you went with VIOFO over the OEM?

Dash cam (for us without PDR)

Next question is has anyone bought parts from capitolchevy.com?

Dash cam (for us without PDR)

My car should be arriving any day now, and I want to ensure as much safety/insurance as possible. I saw the thread where the dealership wrecked a dude’s CF splitter and without the video likely wouldn’t have been compensated.

Dash cam (for us without PDR)

Hey all, being that my CT5 BW is a come up off of somebody else’s discarded order, it doesn’t have all of the options I’d have selected… close, but not quite. Has anyone purchased/installed an after market GM OME Dashcam?

    Engine Failure

I have a friend that has been a mechanic for a long time, and builds hot rods. He says that breaking in the engine is one of the most important things. It may be a test of patience, but it reaps rewards or consequences. I’ll take the manual recommendations and advice of experts over Joe Schmo on...

    Engine Failure

I definitely don’t plan on driving like an idiot. I also don’t plan on taking it on a track until I’m really really comfortable in how it handles. I do live like 20 minutes from sears point raceway. I also intend to take the classes/training at the mountain center. This is going to be my first...

    Engine Failure

Forsho. There’s lots of YouTube videos of when the tachometer goes from 4000 to 6000 or whatever it is, and the owner just goes full tilt boogey. Meanwhile I’m cringing and face palming as I know exactly what the manual says. Personally, I’m gonna be granny lightfoot until 1500 with an oil...

    Engine Failure

I like the sound of it being fixed for the ‘25s. Here’s hoping they’re not just blowing smoke.🚭

    Engine Failure

Is the engine failure ‘22-‘23 BW5 specific? I haven’t seen anything regarding the ‘24 or 25’. I ask for selfish reasons as my ‘25 arrives to the dealership in the next few days God willing (keeps getting delayed despite computers showing it left Detroit and is in transit). I’d like to know what...

Rear Splash/Rock Guard Installation on CT5 BW

Found these, but my BW hasn’t arrived yet… supposedly on the 20th. 🤞🏽 https://www.vicrez.com/vicrez-mud-flaps-front-vz102922-cadillac-ct5-v-2022-2023

    Paint protection ‘25 BW5

That’s precisely what I did. I talked to several places, and ended up going with the one where the owner called me back and talked with me about their process, what would work best for the mountain environment, and how to take care of it/what products he uses to maintain the integrity of the...

Cooper Zeon RS3-G1 305/30-R19 all season tires for CT5-V Blackwing

No sweat man. Your advice made me be smart about it and I appreciate that.

Cooper Zeon RS3-G1 305/30-R19 all season tires for CT5-V Blackwing

I just called Nitto’s customer service. The Invo is an all seasons tire. The rubber is safe to 20 Fahrenheit. They will not do well in snow or on ice. All from the horses mouth. Hopefully that’s helpful to folks. I know that’ll let me drive the car in the Bay Area all year round, and in the...

Big O Tires has them listed as all seasons. 🤷🏽‍♂️

    Kavakas Ceramic Pro/PPF

Did the wifey let it dry in the sun after washing or something? Water spot damage has to bake in right?

    Paint protection ‘25 BW5

So you like one better than the other? Seems like the one offering the benefits of PPF and ceramic would be the way to go.
