5BW Rear wheel liner missing screws?

Just checked mine - 2023 built fall of 23 - and it's missing screws, too. What fasteners are you guys using? None in my box seemed to fit quite right.

New CT5-V Blackwing Owner - First thoughts and impressions

If you have ever owned a Hellcat powered car, you might understand the allure of the blower whine. It makes the car feel even more like a living, breathing creature.

New CT5-V Blackwing Owner - First thoughts and impressions

One thing you might want to consider is what mode you are driving the car in. I found that the "race" modes were super annoying in terms of interference and making the car feel unnatural, despite them supposedly being the fastest on track. I didn't even like the feel of those modes at Spring...

New CT5-V Blackwing Owner - First thoughts and impressions

    A) what psi are you running? B) what is the ambient temp? C) what mode are you driving in? I'm in Texas south of you and run 32psi with all nannies off. Yes it will go sideways very, very easily, but it will also put the power down decently with a little discretion. You are coming from a huge...

CT5-V Retrofitting carbon ceramic brakes to 5BW?

I am actually glad you were wrong because after reading your initial post about the 2500s I was worried maybe I was just feeling 'confirmation bias', foolishly thinking the new pads felt different when they really were identical! I definitely recommend the 2500s if people want better initial...

CT5-V Retrofitting carbon ceramic brakes to 5BW?

Hmmmm I have replaced my OE front pads with 2500s from Ken@KNS and the 2500s have much better initial bite. I have run 2500s on Evos, Boss 302s, Evoras. The OE pads on my 2024 5BW had a really soft initial bite more consistent with a luxury car than an ultra high performance sports sedan.

    Track rats rejoice!

That article mentions the rear end wallow that I would like to eliminate on my '24. Is there a list of the bushings that they took from the 1LE and installed on the '25 Precision Pack?

    Motorcycles

Ok that is INCREDIBLE!! Those look like 2000-ish WSBK spec forks and front brakes, the titanium cans on that full Yoshimura system are really rare, different rear disc and caliper, maybe an Ohlins rear shock in place of the rotary damper? Such cool bikes, rode several modified ones back in the...

    It's been a year now

It's funny, dinkman - I have been scheming how to buy a 4BW 6sp to sit alongside my 5BW 6sp! If you can get the 5BW, go for it. But the 4BW is absolutely incredible to drive so you are not really missing too much (other than badass V8 noises).

    It's been a year now

Have driven my 2020 GT350R on a 3k mile road trip with 2 days of over 700 miles and zero issues (and it doesn't even have the upgraded stereo). Love that car like no other. I am running PS4S on it, though. The Cup2s are awesome until they arent!

CT5-V Why is the exhaust so quiet inside?

Please update us when you do! I'm on the fence and need someone to tip me right on over!

    Wheel Upgrade

Thank you for the reply! I really like the sizes and offsets you have - looks superb!

    Wheel Upgrade

Yes would love to know the wheel specs. I've been dreaming about 305/30/19 fronts on a 10.5 or 11" wheel so I'd be curious about your fitment.

    It's been a year now

Beautiful Evoras, guys! It's fun to be able to have such wildly different performance cars in the same stable. I think the crossover between the Evora and Blackwing would be that in their respective classes, they are the most engaging and driver focused. Also, they are both sort of left field...

And I thought that I had terrible impulse control! I've bought and sold a ton of cars and bikes but Nick you take the cake! Thank you for helping me feel better about myself!

    It's been a year now

I have a 2017 Evora 400 6sp and a 2024 5BW 6sp. If you enjoy your Evora, you will love the 5BW. The Evoras are raw and rowdy while the 5BW seems a little calm and aloof when you first start driving it. Put it in the sportier modes and drive it harder, though, and you start realizing the...

Sidewall Bump.. (morphed into Transmission replacement)

You might need to run it through Michelin. That's internal damage and, judging by the lack of damage to the finish of the sidewall (i.e. like if it was scuffed or torn), that just proves it's not driver error.

Sidewall Bump.. (morphed into Transmission replacement)

100% replace it. Possibly will be warrantied.

How the Spring Mountain shop sets up their 4's

At Spring Mountain a few weeks ago I mentioned that I had swapped out front pads for Ferodo 2500s and didn't disconnect battery. The instructor told me I was lucky to not have any issues because supposedly the car does periodic tests on itself such as adding brake pressure to make sure they...
