I need to apologize - my rates actually did NOT go up for this coming 6 month period. They went up last time and I just didn't even remember that huge increase last fall because I had a lot going on. Sorry.
I just got my latest State Farm bill for the next 6 months and it has gone up SUBSTANTIALLY. I have a feeling it's because of the brief time I was enrolled without my knowledge. This is such BS.
Interesting thread because I have been confusing myself with the modes, too. On my 5BW, it seems like Sport driving mode plus holding down the TC button until the 2nd light comes on removes most of the nannies but defintiely not all. V mode plus holding TC button down until the 2 lights are on...
Have used both on several cars. I love the SC2s but my threshold for pain might be higher than most. However, I have PS4S on 3 cars right now and love them.
There is a 3rd option in those sizes per Tire Rack: The Bridgestone Potenza Sport. I had them on my now departed Civic Type R and...
OP - changing to a different transmission fluid will most likely improve your 1-2 shifts. Tremecs are notorious for exhibiting the symptoms you describe. It is not user error.
BTW I am not an 'Amsoil guy' so to speak but it has been great in my GT350R's Tremec TR3160. The stock fluid in my...
Borlas drones? Umm no. I've used Borlas on multiple cars and they guarantee no drone. A Borla S Type would be ideal on the 5BW. Deep, smooth, loud but not stupid.
For the 5BW, I'm pretty sure the seats are all the same size and fit between the various leather and carbon options. There have been threads about this. The 4BW, on the other hand, is the one that has very basic seats as standard and the upgraded ones have more bolstering and better leather etc.
RE: GT350 - I posted this in another thread a couple of months ago:
"OP - 2024 5BW 6sp and 2020 GT350R owner here. I was a little apprehensive about ordering the 5BW without being able to drive it, in large part because I had not really enjoyed other GM performance cars I had driven (Gen 2...
That stinks, sorry to hear. It is strange to hear about engines failing because it is such a simple design that GM has been refining for so long. I feel the the 5BW forum is reminding me of the GT350 forum with its "another Voodoo engine failure" threads.
I've never done that. There is another thread about gearing and I also thought the talls gears would be annoying but, in fact, they are really well judged. Because the motor is such a friendly monster, even in semi-spirited driving you can find yourself shifting at say 4k rpm, which means you...
I had a lot of the same thoughts and concerns you mention. I wanted to save money and get a 4BW but they were just half a size too small for my needs. The 5BW has exceeded all of my expectations, including how friendly and easy it is to use in normal driving and even in the rain (as long as...
I'm glad to hear that my car is not uniquely troubled with it's strange behavior! Seems like a lot of us have noticed weird things that don't seem to make sense.
Anyone else have any weird little things you've noticed? I'm the only driver of this car.
1) Even though I never have rev match engaged, it will occasionally autoblip on a 3-2 downshift, maybe every 10 days it will do it once then not again.
2) The seat buzzer parking assist thing keeps...
