Great point. The people going over 100 on our freeways are self centered people who are putting everyone's life at risk. Just because you have a fast car doesn't mean you should drive it irresponsibly.
Sorry about your troubles. I assume you have not modified the car. It is likely that GM will stand behind the warranty and either fix the engine or give you a new one. 21,000 miles on the rear tires is incredible. I won't be able to do that.
You can call Cadillac customer service and ask about the warranty to see if it is intact and if there is a warranty block on the car. You can also do this online. I highly recommend that on any used Cadillac, especially the Blackwing models. I have not had an issue with other manufacturers in...
Underfilled ATF will certainly increase wear on our transmissions. It would be interesting to measure what comes out of these transmissions during a transmission drain and refill.
With any tune, GM can walk away from a warranty issue if they can prove that this tune contributed to the warranty claim. GM can deny the warranty claim and they expect you won't be able to do anything about it. Don't tune these cars.
This is good reason to buy an automatic and check to see if there is a warranty block before buying a used car. Also, can't they design a rev limiter so this doesn't happen with a manual transmission? Is that possible?
Why is your oil low? I am not using any oil at all, even after 2,000 miles after the last oil change. Perhaps you are tracking the car or running the car more aggressively. Nothing wrong with either situation, just different driving styles.
Your comment wasn't offensive. It was funny. Camry drivers in general are just interested in arriving at their destination and are not car enthusiasts. I have owned my Camrys over my lifetime. They are great cars, but they are not performance oriented, but they are reliable.
Or perhaps the people who are driving Camrys are the smart ones and are thinking it's not how I get to work, but how to arrive at work in the most cost efficient way.
I won't be buying any EV vehicle. I'll keep mine until I need a different ICE vehicle for various reasons. Being dependent on these charging stations is not my cup of tea and the range of EVs is poor at best.
My Blackwing 4 is the best car that I have ever owned. Love the car. What a shame that most people don't even know that it exists and that GM is making so few of these beautiful machines.
My local BMW dealer in Oregon would not process a warranty claim on a clutch and flywheel. There was a vibration in the clutch and at first the dealer said no problem, you are under warranty. The car was less than a year old with less than 10k miles on it. After they evaluated the car, they...
