Order bank open date 2025 CT5V BW?

There is definitely some luck of the draw involved. My 2022 Rift Metallic sat at GM about 3 months before being shipped to Sewell. The paint was absolutely fine. My 2024 Black Diamond Tricoat was produced end of February and delivered to the dealer in less than 30 days. Then it was in a...

Multi-topic thread on retirement and second car

Congrats again. I'm sure you will get used to the cabin. The performance is outstanding at any cost, but happens to be a great deal here, IMO. And that double curved roof... man, I love it. I am very intrigued with the manual Z4 in the green color, but still prefer the looks of the Supra.

Multi-topic thread on retirement and second car

Nice car!! I flirted w a white 24 manual about 4-5 months ago at a dealer in OK. MSRP, but they wanted $1500 or so for their film and tint. I told them no way, I have my own local guy. The car was in transit and so they agreed. But after driving a used one locally (automatic), I felt too couped...

What did you do to your Blackwing today?

Very cool, congrats!! Honestly, I could tell in other posts you were not going to buy a CT5-V Blackwing. I'm glad you settled on the Miata, very cool car, and very different.

I really thought there were no downsides to debadging.

I'm looking at later next year due to schedule and other trips. Otherwise would love to meet, Nick!

    Newbie questions..trade a M4 for 2025 CT5-V Blackwing

Sound, torque, front end feel / steering, steering wheel, and driver display. The single worst thing about my M4 was the engine and exhaust sound. Which is - literally - amplified and worsened by hitting the exhaust button on the console. Absolutely abhorrent design.

I really thought there were no downsides to debadging.

Ha ha, not me. I'm staying in full stealth mode, w a touch of dazzle from the BDT. Found great black friday deals on the black lugs and mono badges. Should receive soon. My car came w black locking lugs (dealer thankfully left in the box) but not the full set. Can't wait to add these last 2...

    Newbie questions..trade a M4 for 2025 CT5-V Blackwing

I don't think the pricey options pay back. I would remove as much of the carbon as you could and replace with standard plastic pieces. Sell the carbon parts on the BMW forum. PS, I sure miss my carbon fiber roof. Love that the car included it stock.

So much for that big V necklace I was going to make :ROFLMAO:

    Newbie questions..trade a M4 for 2025 CT5-V Blackwing

If I am being honest, I LOVED the look of my M4. I do miss that, and that it was a coupe. I know most thought it was fugly, but not me. And the interior, so damn nice. Premium materials everywhere, excellent assembly. But aside from the 3 seconds of bliss from a standstill, it just did not...

Any pics or videos of Deep Space Metallic on a real car?

2024 Blackwing for me please :)

    Newbie questions..trade a M4 for 2025 CT5-V Blackwing

Yes, that is correct. I know on 2024s, there was an option to do a "carbon seat back delete", meaning you get the full semi-aniline, but they credit back around $2500 for not getting the carbon seat backs (I don't recall the exact number). Again, I owned both seats before getting my current...

    Newbie questions..trade a M4 for 2025 CT5-V Blackwing

Carbon 2 is actually the door rocker trim and rear diffuser. Top tier semi-aniline seats can be ordered with or without exterior carbon. While trying to custom order a Black Diamond Tricoat, I had only included CF1. I was unsuccessful in ever having that order picked up, but when I bought the...

    Carbon fiber PN database.

That's strange. I don't think the part changes at all for a 2025, so they must still be making them. I'll readily admit, I did not like paying for CF1 and CF2, but I sure love having them. My first car did not have any carbon, but I bought the rear spoiler for 3k on sale and put it on myself...

Owning a low volume production car can have its drawbacks...

Are the harnesses different than the non-Blackwing cars? We ran into rabbit trouble - yes, rabbit - last year with my daughter's Kia Soul. I'll skip the bulk of the story, and the photo with an arrow rammed through its neck in the corner of the garage. The first repair was about 3k, and we...

    Motorcycles, anyone?

I sold my Triumph Speedmaster when I first bought the CT4-V Blackwing. I miss it, and still love riding. We saw 3 fallen riders within 2 miles of my home in a span of less than 2 years. 2 were dead instantly. One was on Easter Sunday driving to church. I won't lie, seeing the black...

    Media dumps

I was not inferring I have been here longer than you. More that my design tastes are more old school than modern. Anyone who likes the older style has had plenty of opportunities to buy one. And even at large discounts this year. As you know, they were hard to come by early on. I'm sure it...

    Media dumps

Still not my style, but no doubt the graphics are sharp and there is more customization available. GM did a solid job. Although I do prefer the driver's display gauges, especially the track mode. Congratulations Eric! At the end of the day, these Blackwings are all about driving sensations...
