That’s weird, when it is those temps for me (maybe a little lower), I shut T/C off or go to PTM Race 1 and its tail out or donuts at will on the stock PS4Ss.
I’ve only used it twice, it was in the summer and temps were in the mid 80s. Used the automatic setting the first time and got a low 4s...
I ended up going with stock size Continental DWS06 plus A/S tires. I wont drive it much in the winter, just enough on decent days so I don‘t have to store it. In the nam of science, I’ll take it out when snows to see how they do In various PTM/drive modes.
I have as much faith as the next person in salesman and dealerships. But, even I would be stunned if they tried to deliver a brand new car with a massive stain or discoloration like that. Maybe you should’ve contacted the salesman first before coming here and jumping to a bunch of conclusions...
This has got to be one of the weirdest threads ever, and I’ve been on a lot of different forums for years…..still get weird new complaints like this.
Speaking of, I’ve had a used 21 Cayenne S, new 22 718 GTS 4.0, used 22 992 911 4S and a brand new 23 992 GTS. Every one of them had issues form...
One thing I’ll give the Germans (at least BMW and Porsche), they have specific pads that fit into corresponding lifting points. Much easier and safer than pinch welds. I’d pay extra $$$ for GM etc to design something similar instead of being lazy and sticking with the old design.
Interesting, just checked Redline‘s website (the oil I use) and they recommend 75W85 GL-5 for both 4 and 5V BWs. But, they recommend 75W90 GL-5 for ZL1s.
Its different weight for the 4V BW, might be the same for the 5V BW since it’s the same engine as the ZL1. Torque specs for the fill/drain plugs are the same.
Yes, I’ve had many cars as low and lower than my 4V BW. It’s not smart ass, it’s called reality. If you don’t want to do it or spend the money to get the right tools/equipment then that’s fine. But don’t act like it’s impossible, BWs aren’t even really that low and nor do the special editions...
I’ve had many cars that have had “aerodynamic aids” and have always figured a way out to get them safely jacked up for fluid changes. There are solutions, you just don’t want to do them.
I’d be happy if they made stock size winters. That’s about the only thing that really bothers me with lack of support. Sure, some exhaust choices etc would be nice, but not a deal breaker. The TT V6 isn’t going to sound much better with a different one.
Again, I don’t think it is odd at all to worry about this issue, it is obviously a very serious one.
I don’t know where that person lives, but most would agree that it is nearly impossible to always do what you are stating. I live in a fairly small town/rural area, but it would be nearly...
I changed mine at 1500 miles and it didn’t look like it burned any during break in. I’m now at almost 3k and thankfully it still doesn’t look like it’s using any.
Thanks for the idea. I to had to crush my oil filter to get it off because it was so tight from the factory. This distracted me from at least putting rags under it to soak up the excessive oil. Took forever to clean up before it stopped oozing out from seams in the brace.
I love how matte colors look, but like many, I’ve been scared off by them from a maintenance standpoint and have never owned one. Plus, as much as most of us love manuals, it does limit the market for the car more than an auto does. I feel like with cars like the BW, they are hot for the first...
I have a very a good detailer/PPF/ceramic coat installer I’ve used on a few different cars/brands now. BY far the worst paint he said he’s ever worked was my black 22 ZL1. The dealer didn’t do any detailing or prep work on the paint per my request. It was pretty horseshit from the factory and...
There is no disagreement that this is a very serious problem. It‘s your reason of how you are worried about using your car I find odd. Most random left turns across traffic is probably more dangerous in this situation than taking a corner hard.
