My understanding is that the CT4V BWs steering wheel plates decode as 4 = CT4V, 1= Auto, 6= Manual, XXX=last 3 of the VIN.
In your case you clearly own a CT2V BW with an auto transmission. ;)
The C8 Stingray is a great car but is more of a step down in driving engagement compared to a Blackwing with a M6. I drove one on track and it handles great as a mid-engine sport car should but is much too refined and numb compared to previous Corvettes. The C8 Z06 fixes this with a more...
I think because it is something you interact with all the time and when compared to the other buttons/inputs it feels off. So, I don't think it is bad, just noticeably different than the stalk in my ZL1.
I am curious what the actual difference is? Both wet sump, same oil filter, I figured the oil pan was slightly different but not sure what else would change the recommended capacity.
It is documented that the LT4 in the 5BW takes 9qts vs 10qts in the C7 Z06 and ZL1. I thought it was a...
Agreed, we knew we were an ideal customer, which is why we adopted early on when the Model 3 was release and tax credit was available with no income restrictions. We purchased the least expensive model at the time. After tax credit is was $36k, so pretty much same as buying a loaded Toyota...
Yep, this was the most surprising thing when we bought our Model 3. I expected a pretty lame car to drive but it is quite fun city driving. The steering is smaller than my 4BW and the rack is super quick. Also, the instant torque makes a lot of the driving feel effortless.
I enjoyed it so...
As an EV owner, most of the negative news you hear about is blown way out of proportion.
I have owned a Tesla Model 3 for the past 4.5 years and have no complaints. That said, we live in an ideal climate for EVs, home has a garage with a wall charger and it is not our only vehicle. We put...
I see you only drove around the block. If you had a stuck pad/caliper or surface rust on the rotor I would drive more and get the brakes heated up. If it were me I would even bed the brakes a bit, get some heat in them. These are performance brakes and can be noisy, squeaky, etc.
Sounds like you have software crash and restarts the system. Could be a bad control module, ground issue, etc. Just curious, I see you have a 2024, have you checked the infotainment system for any updates? What is the current version of software you are running?
Didn't the 2024s get some new...
Same here. Once I got HP Tuners I learned you could tune it out in software. Then added a intake, cam, headers, long tubes and learned to tune the MAF and bump timing, etc. Lots of fun on that car.
Same. No idea when or why they choose to show up on my car. Sometimes I will see it on a 1>2 shift but I never seem to see it if I am in 2nd gear already for a 2>3 shift. I am not looking for them anyway. I usually shift based on sound anyway.
Congrats! IMO, 99% of the enjoyment of this car is rowing your own gears in this awesome handling chassis. FWIW, I didn't plan on getting the base seats either but glad I did. Once the honeymoon wears off you will appreciate the comfort of the base seats.
Enjoy it.
Totally agree, but I don't see this changing much with the current state of technology. This is just the initial phase until we eventually merge and become one with the machines. ;)
