    Something odd

I have the oversize MAF & ported throttle body. I've only gotten the code once - shortly after install. It was summertime but a cold rain came in and I stopped for gas then restarted right away as the pump was out of service. Got the code. Cleared it a few days later and its never come back even...

    CT4-V CT4 V blackwing vs RS3 6 months later

Oh and almost forgot - beating my work colleagues from DC to Knoxville TN where we all left a morning meeting at the same time....i drove....they flew...and I was finishing checking into our hotel when they walked in the front door....epic...

The many miles of joy I had with that car oh my. The many years of pain due to unreliability....argh. It spent nearly 2 years sidelined with a blown bottom end that resulted in blown...well nearly everything - after a botched bottom end repair. I won a court settlement but was never able to...

E39 M5 (great car) was always too big and $$$ for me at the time....I'm very happy with my ZHP. I considered an E46 M3 at the time but I did a Euro delivery and BMW wasn't giving the 7% discount. I bought the ZHP new for $33K which was a great deal. ZHP is plenty quick and its still a very...

    CT4-V CT4 V blackwing vs RS3 6 months later

Its funny, both of my neighbors who each bought one of my prior cars at one time recently each owned exactly 17 cars - really exactly 17. They drive a bunch of them (like you said for different purposes) but many are race (autocross) cars and/or project cars. One had 2 1st gen NSXs (non...

I've long had the suspicion that the RS6 is exactly as you describe it - regardless of performance specs. Shame. My (MT) B5 S4 Avant was anything but boring. Reviews from the time suggested it wasn't an engaging car - they were so wrong. Of course when I bought mine used it was already Stage 2...

I agree with all and appreciate you. I respect and appreciate the Camaros but never considered one - visibility and size issues mainly and my wife is adverse to two door cars. Your E36 is super sweet BTW. My youngest son has a pretty tricked out 1st gen GR86 that I occasionally drive and enjoy...

I've followed the evolution of the RS3 since it first came out hopeful that one day a sportback with MT might make it to the US. Like many I was and still am intoxicated by the 5 cylinder engine (and its tuning potential). I felt the car would be a perfect replacement to my aging high mileage B5...

I second the request. I've always admired the RS6 since I first saw earlier iterations in Germany and the UK in the mid 2000's...though I've never actually been in the market for one. Admired doesn't do my lust for the car justice. At the time I owned a pretty tricked out B5 S4 Avant and I saw...

Blind spot CHIME and not just blinking mirror light?

I have the same issue and had the same problem just the other day (may have even been a 4runner....or something very similar). I caught it before I actually entered his lane and pulled back but he (rightly) blew his horn at me pretty good). I've checked all my settings but couldn't figure it...

Shame that....niggling issues. I loved and truly miss my old Audi S4 Avant but it was a constant hassle with various issues. I like all the Audi RS cars...but again not MT and they are so porky these days (like all new cars). My Audi was MT and compared to even the later S4s was relatively light...

    Anti-Theft - IGLA?

There is a thread specifically concerning this - something like theft attempt in Texas or some such. I;m just too mush of an old fart to know how to link it for you but I expect someone else here will manage. If your BW is MT you at least have one level of protection from theft.

Welcome and congrats on the CT 4 V BW 2tirefire. How long have you had the Caddy and did you get MT? What caused you to switch? Was the QF a lease? Again, as you get more experience with the BW I'd like to hear more comparisons. I'm a big fan of the Alpha (and of the BW too) and if the Alpha...

I think the chassis on the CT 4 V BW is out of this world good - its probably the most special thing about the car. The steering is also great with great feel for EPS and of course the Tremec is a first rate shifting experience. I've never driven a Guilia QF but did get to sit in one and play...

Griffmac12 - Congrats and let us know your thoughts on how the CT 4 V BW compares to the QF. I love both...but am happy with the Caddy. If Alpha came in MT I would have considered it.

Feature & Option Differences Between CT4-V Blackwing and CT5-V Blackwing

Auto driver's seat is a selectable feature in both cars i think. The 5 has panoramic sunroof and I think the '25 5 BW has an upgraded PDR....not sure about the 4 BW. Rear seat room is significantly better in the 5 and screen is larger. 5 may have 360 deg camera that 4 lacks...but I'm not 100%...

CT4-V Disappointed after lengthy Test drive

LOL - good suggestions....thanks for the reply. I will certainly look into and consider both. And its not that the 4 BW is bad per se - I have just been spoiled with high visibility cars my whole life and have gotten used to and rely on such in my (spirited) driving. Another factor, i think, is...

CT4-V Disappointed after lengthy Test drive

One issue I have with the 4 BW is rear and side visibility isn't up to my standards (I'm just spoiled). I need a high degree of situational awareness (I also drive with windows (at least partially) down weather permuting). I like to be able to make split second high speed maneuvers and I need...

CT4-V Disappointed after lengthy Test drive

Yeah I get that. For me - the Z4 would be the way to go. I love convertibles (though wifey is not a fan....her hair etc)...and I need visibility.

CT4-V Disappointed after lengthy Test drive

If I was looking to get a fun performance 2 seater right now I would really consider a BMW Z4 M40i. Check out the POV drive and commentary from Topher - it just seems like great fun with great capability...
