    650 mile road trip - '22 CT5-V Blackwing six-speed

Get a Seasucker and throw the bike on top of the 5BW. No issues across 5+ years and various cars with mine. It's awesome.

    Video: TheStraightPipes Review CT4-V

I think @Jameson's Viggen got in touch with them, but they ultimately went in another direction.

    Is it totaled?

I'm sorry to see this but glad to hear you're okay. Best of luck with the repairs and please do let us know of any issues with Hagerty/RLI. I used them for TNIA too so hoping it's a smooth process and we don't all have to go looking for other insurers.

What "don't" you like about your BW"?

This is super nit-picky and admittedly 100% personal preference, but I don't love the steering wheel. My wife has an Alfa Stelvio and I actually prefer the wheel in that. The materials are a little nicer, the wheel itself is smaller, has a flat bottom (small enough to not be obnoxious), etc.

    Beautiful CT4-V Blackwing Powerbands

Does it shorten the change interval too? If they get close to OE life, that's fine. It seems like the JB4s were eating spark plugs and would need replacement once a year; that's a pain in the ass to have to change them that frequently. I would think/hope now with full ECM access it wouldn't be...

Is there a way to always have rev match on?

Not currently. Maybe @WONT TAP can add that now that we have the ECUs unlocked.

    CT4V Engine Bay "Dress-Up" Challenge

Only if it includes white tube socks and at least 1 poster for the car.

    CT4V Engine Bay "Dress-Up" Challenge

I read it more as the stereotypical "Corvette Guy" and then Steve boomed us.

    Tracking your V-Performance Ride = Big $$$

He's talking about the Track Tapas program I think, I did it earlier this year and it was fun. Here's the full publicly available Lime Rock calendar: Lime Rock Park

I’ve found the secret sauce (track pads)

Something else to consider is making sure you get a solid cool-down lap or two and avoid using the parking brake or otherwise using your brakes to hold the car after a session. Hot pads/rotors, stationary and engaged is a recipie for nasty pad deposits.

    Cabin Air Filter Change

If KN is correct, I think it's the same filter. Compatibility guide (showing both CT4 3.6L V6 and CT5 6.2L V8) and PDF instructions are here. https://www.knfilters.com/vf2071-cabin-air-filter

Newbie question: no crackles/pops on CT5V BW?

Don't those F10s also have a crazy burble tune too? It was the first gen of those BMW hot-vee turbos.

    CT4V Engine Bay "Dress-Up" Challenge

Unless it's improving performance, I'm not sure I see the point. A functional intake (not the CEL machine from Tapout), nicer looking but functional cross brace, etc. all make sense to me. Engine covers and plaques? How often to people open the hood and look at the engine? Genuine question...

Newbie question: no crackles/pops on CT5V BW?

Using certain PTM settings will automatically take control of some modes. Seems like suspension/steering/exhaust all follow PTM to some extent.

Has anyone “fixed” the ugly plastic piece below the infotainment screen?

I'm in if you do another set. Happy to Venmo.

What "don't" you like about your BW"?

No issues with this approach on a CT4 w/ carbon packs, either. It's been fine with speed bumps.

    Tracking your V-Performance Ride = Big $$$

I insured mine through Hagerty for my loan payoff amount + 5k instead of 100% of replacement value/MSRP. Seems like overkill to me to max it out like that, but then again we all have different risk tolerances. Any SCCA events also include a 20% discount on the insurance premium. I guess my...

    Tracking your V-Performance Ride = Big $$$

Track Tapas? I did that in the spring. It's a great program! You definitely don't need to do anything beyond oil. PM me if you have any questions.

    CT4-V What Tires

Tend to agree here. You might give up a couple of tenths on a lap at the limit. Most of us don't drive 10/10, even on a track anyway. I certainly don't.
