Update this morning is that the car has been produced. They've estimated 5-8 weeks for shipping (and say it could be as many as 12 weeks). Now is when the patience will really be tested!
I'm Kevin and I'm originally from Texas and a few years back moved to Baltimore, MD for a job in sports. Early 30's and married, but with no kids and a dual income that gives us some money to splurge with after maxing out the retirement accounts.
Initially gave up my '17 WRX to downsize to one...
Got an update this morning from my dealer: They received a target production week of 10/14.
FWIW my chatbot does not give me a different status code than the "Order has been accepted by GM"
Starting to feel pretty real. I've updated my first post with the full timeline and specs of my build.
So far I'm still on the same "order has been accepted by GM" code and am waiting to get the target production date. I'll keep updating my posts as we move along, hopefully this will give a decent estimation of the timelines people can expect.
I've been wearing out the status update button to see when I'd get a production target date. This morning I woke up and there's no place to talk to the chat bot!
I can only give my experience here. I've gone to about ~10 different dealers between the three states I spend a lot of time in, and only one was a huge traffic high allocation dealer, which was in Phoenix, AZ.
The high allocation dealer didn't give me the time of day as they were still able to...
Update #1 of my experience ordering a 2025 CT4-V Blackwing:
8/21 - Original order put in with mid-sized dealer. They did not have a current allocation, but they were optimistic based on their selling history that they would have one within a month. They treated me well with test...
Haha I've seen you post this elsewhere. Hounding folks on enthusiast forums who don't buy by your definition of optimal is certainly my personal definition of sharp, so kudos.
Good to know, appreciate the thought. I certainly agree about how they look and the ventilation, both are major plusses. As for the ride, I'm broad in the shoulder and found the upgraded bolsters to be pretty snug on me. I do think if I was going to Track the car regularly it'd be a no-brainer...
Sure. With nothing down and probably a 2-3 month wait, I'm going to couch surf the available inventory page quite a bit. I did this song & dance last year a bit, and had very little luck on getting any meaningful discount on a '23/'24 because most of the ones sitting on the lot were the...
And any reason you say this in particular? I've sat in both & test driven a Blackwing with the upgraded seats. They seemed solid but more of a pro/con sidestep that I'd have to pay $5k for.
I’m eternally on the lookout for one close enough, and I’ll likely buy the one if it pops up as my dealer didn’t have me put anything down.
I surf the new inventory for the country all the time, really don’t want a sunroof which is often the culprit.
Thanks. This is the largest Cadillac dealer within quite a distance from me and they seem to get fairly regular allocations. They've received and sold 5-6 Blackwings in the past 4 months and they have another one "In Transit" from the factory now. I figured that was a large enough dealer to get...
Sorry, this is my first time through this with these cars. Are you saying that since the CT4-V Blackwings have been open since July, my order should've already been picked up? I put in my order last Friday and as of last check, I still had the 1100 code.
