Yeah vettes and camaros both had this blue (but I'm 90% they called it something different even though it was the same)
EDIT: Confirmed. Boracay Blue Metallic, and Brilliant Blue Metallic both have the same paint code WA895T
If I didn't get the bronze wheels on my car I would be replacing them with something aftermarket as I don't really like the other options. Totally understandable to grab a set of those nice Apex wheels.
It's a little difficult to photograph accurately but I think these represent them the best. I don't have a ton of good pictures because I just can't seem to get it to show properly.
I bought mine new, but they also couldn't verify my identity. I called LN and it was a bug in their system not reading my address correctly. The person on the phone corrected it with me on the line and resubmitted. It's not car related, it's something screwed up with their verification process...
We live in a world where youtube 'journalists' like MKBHD can post a review of a dumb Fisker vehicle that will get more engagement than the NYT will about literally tracking your everyday life. People's priorities are F'd.
Couple things: Regarding point 1: it doesn't exclude track days!! In the article it talks specifically about someone getting dinged by bringing their Vette to the track.
Regarding point 2: I think the automotive press isn't so much investigative journalism anymore, but rather click-bait...
NYT did a complete write up about this very subject today.

I say this as having owned a couple turbo cars over the years in that turbo cars USUALLY don't get that dreaded drone since the turbos are acting like a very restrictive muffler in the first place. A muffler delete on an NA car sounds WAY different than on a turbo car.
I have first hand experience with this!
The problem is the answer is complicated. They CAN still do PDR for the most part, but you're right that it complicates the process. I had a fender ding on my 2017 CTSV and they were able to get it out. When I received the call to pick it up they said...
I wonder if that was due to a bad install? I've only had Xpel on my car for a month or so, but there is zero orange peel on this one. On my previous CTS-V, I had front clip done and 4 years later it had zero of these issues.
I will also say that if you google (I know, I know) xpel yellowing...
This is the stuff, most likely. I used it in my previous CTS-V with the alcantara.
