One rear tire at Tirerack is roughly $550 with shipping and sales tax. Add the mounting and balancing and you are looking at almost 6 Ben Franklins. I can get 5 years of premium GM coverage for $929.
One nail in a sidewall would cover 2/3rds of the 5 year premium.
I realize it’s a gamble either...
I tried selling a vehicle to Carvana about 8 months ago. They beat everyone’s price. Sent them all the documents they asked for then communication with them went dead. They never answered emails nor phone calls.
Finally decided to pull the plug on the deal. Drove to Carmax and their offer came...
The most important thing about PPF and paint correction is who is doing it. I had one job for PPF fucked up so bad on my ZL1 the shop had to pay to send it to another shop to redo. The second shop nailed it, perfect.
After having PPF installed on 4 different vehicles have learned to ask the...
Seems like it could be a giant legal headache if you had anyone other than the dealer do it.
What would be involved with the electronics to make sure they didn’t chime once connected?
Would be nice if akrapovic developed a titanium cat back system. The sound should be incredible. I know these cars are low volume production but it is nice to dream.
I think if my sales guy knew more about the detailing options this situation could of been averted. But as most of us know these type of add on’s are usually handled by the finance people.
Right now I’ll give Andrew’s Cadillac kudos for gathering together and calling me to work this out. I won’t...
Guess things happen for the better on the WWW. I just got off the phone with the manager and one or two other guys at Andrews Cadillac. They read my post and wanted to know what they could do to keep me as a happy customer. Explained my disappointment with the upcharge for the ceramic coating...
You don’t know me very well, LOL.
When they gave me the first price for my trade I told them the deal was off. I am prepared to wait another year and order a C8 or Jailbreak Charger.
No rookie buying cars. They upped the trade value by $3k to be where I thought was fair in the beginning. Plus the car came in with the old shipping price ($995).
It still may happen. I was on the fence about spending $3k for PPF as the place that does it is 100 miles away, PITA to drive there...
I was planning on having the entire front end covered with PPF. They just called me and offered what I consider a very low price for my trade as well. Told them with the low trade price and the extra $2,500 I am walking. Now sales guy is going to “talk to the manager” and call me back
Out of the blue they told me there is now a $2,495 "ceramic" coating charge for the exterior and interior.
Pisses me off to no end as this dealer bragged about how they sell ordered cars for MSRP and a small DOC fee.
Not sure what I will do to be honest.
